“Looks can be deceiving”

We were to stay here for 6 days but only lasted one night. First impression was that it was nice looking hotel and after our last 2 hotels we thought this would be the same...how wrong we were. Our room was at the back which was fine but when you opened the door a smell hit you again I used our spray I had bought in Bangkok but it didn't help. It was when we went to shower we found that the shower curtain was stuck together with mould and it wasn't just a little bit. The air conditioner was noisy and in the end made no difference we woke up sweaty and very tired. There was also cockroaches and mosquitos. The breakfast we found to be alright. We did complain to the manager who was happy to move us to a another room but we had decided to move hotels. Also the tuk-tuk drivers rip you off that sit outside the hotel.

We stayed here for three nights on an Intrepid Travel 'Best of Cambodia' tour. This is a hotel, not a guest house; it has a pool and a lift. The hotel was having a small crisis when we were there which was not its fault. For this reason we got a triple rather than a double room. Even so it was clean, comfortable, and not too small.
There was air-con, television, desk and chair and a fridge. There was even an electric jug. With no coffee making, I wondered why but it was actually useful for making pot-noodles for breakfast on the morning we were heading out for Angkor Wat at sunrise.
There was a breakfast buffet with an egg cook which was adequate. The pool was clean and very pleasant to cool down after a hot morning at the ruins.
The only real down side for me was the location. It was easy to take a tuk-tuk into the Pub Street area for $2, there was always one waiting in the car park, but it is nice to be a short walk from the centre of town.

Rooms are okay, more than average. Bathroom is clean, towels new, though pretty average. Breakfast is average. Staff very attentive and helpful. Swimming pool is clean. Khmer meal is good. Hallways though are not that well lighted.

Good location. Accessible to spa/massage, convenience store and is along the road to Angkor Wat.

We stayed here two nights. The staff was very nice, helpfull and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. AC was a bit noisy. Those who complain about the breakfast are spoiled.
Highly reccomended.

Whilst the people working at the hotel were very lovely, the hotel itself is really the pits.

On the bed, the sheets did not fit so ended up sleeping on bare mattress that god only knows how many others had slept on. Air conditioning smelled damp.

There were ants in the jam at breakfast and very odd selection of breakfast buffet offerings.

Extraordinarily slow internet made all the more difficult by the fact computer dates were set sometime in 2007.

Do yourself a favour and spend a little extra money to stay somewhere nicer. Whilst I had pre-paid as a small package, left after 2 days and booked into the heaven on earth that is the FCC Angkor.

I stayed at Angkor Way Hotel for the entire month of December. The floors and furnishings in the lobby and the rooms are all in rich hardwood, and the hotel is immaculately clean. The staff was all delightful and very helpful. The pool is a welcome sight after spending hot afternoons among the temples. I spent each evening at the pool bar and outdoor lounge for a cold beer and often a quiet dinner which was always tasty. The breakfast was quite varied with a wide range of dishes with eggs to cook as ordered. The hotel is very close to the National Museum and resides on the road going along the Siem Reap River, making it a pleasant walk into town. I will be staying here again next December for another month and be joined by friends.

The swimming pool very dirty as the pool's floor very slippery.
Internet & Wi-Fi most of time unserviceable.
Full of Mosquitoes and personnel do not use any method to alleviate the problem.
The breakfast is terrible. Even some of the staff use breakfast while guests still busy eating. No, fresh milk. Avoid scramble eggs because without milk they are terrible.
No value for money.
