“Eat where the king eats !”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

My wife and I had dinner at L'Oasi in May 2014. I tend to prefer doing my own research before picking a place but we had just been to Angkor Wat, were hungry and asked our tuk tuk driver if he knew a good Italian near the river. He took us down smaller and smaller roads until we
arrived at an unprepossessing entrance leading into a garden setting with a jungle feel. We were seated outside under a fan, and started perusing the (fairly home made looking) menu. We said hello to the Italian owner Roberto and from that point enjoyed every moment of our meal.

We ordered a bottle of Italian chardonnay sauvignon blanc ($20) and it was superb. The mixed antipasti with home made cheese was great. The Parma & parmesan pizza was wonderful, the seafood linguine perfect and the chocolate mousse was devine. Prices were reasonable but for the quality of the food we ate they were an absolute bargain.

We chatted with the lovely young waiter who told us they had been open for 10 years and that last year the King of Cambodia had dined there. Given the quality of the food I can believe that the story is true.

Come, eat and enjoy.

“Romantic setting, great Italian food”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

L'Oasi is located a bit outside of the city, close to the river and a pagoda. You can choose wether you want to sit outside in the garden, or inside. We always choose to sit outside, because it is very cozy. The staff is friendly and attentive, but still give you good space to enjoy your meal.

The menu is huge and a bit messy. If anything, they could probably cut a lot of the dishes from the menu because its a bit hard to navigate in it.

The bruschetta taste delicious, and so does the pasta dishes I have tried. My favourite is the tagliatelle with mushroom sauce. You would generally not need more than one dish, because they are quite big, and if you eat the complimentary bread you get when you arrive, you will struggle with eating more than one dish anyway.

I highly recommend going to L'Oasi if you are after Italian food when visiting Siem Reap. If you go there, you should arrange a tuk-tuk to drive you and pick you up after your meal, as the road back to town is dark and you will not want to walk there by night.

If you are ready for a break from Asian food try this little Italian restaurant. Good food, very reasonable prices and friendly service-what more can you ask!

“Delicious real italian food”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

We went 2 times at l'Oasi during our stay in Siem Reap : both times give us very good moment and delicious food.
Pastas are same as in Italia with many typical sauces, pizza very slim and tasty as in Italia...
We could also taste home made italian cheese in Cambodia and eat tiramisu better than any other in Asia.
I recommend to have dinner there, even if it's a little far from center (1,5 -2 $ by tuk-tuk)
