Met up for breakfast here. Beautiful spot hidden gem but still only 150 meters away from pub street. We all had English breakfasts and they were really good except waitress got one order of eggs wrong. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu was extensive. Lovely ambience to the place. Good value. Lovely ambience to this place. Would return highly recommended.

It always amazes me how the French remained (or, here, i imagine - returned) in their old colonies and embraced the life there. Le Malraux is a total gem of a place tucked down a quaint alley in somewhat touristy Siem Reap. A beautiful setting adorned with old Air France posters and black and white pictures of old Indochine (some rather dramatic!) all add to the atmosphere.
We first went for dinner - a delightful fresh tomato tartar was followed by the "coccote" of chicken tagliatelle (bit disappointing that), my partner stuck to fish throughout - all good. Pastis (of course), served properly and good french wine at very reasonable prices (alcohol prices in Cambodia are a revelation really!), all followed by Gran Marnier - overall a very pleasant dinner.
Next day we returned for lunch - we really couldn't find or see anywhere as pleasant in Siem Reap (pub street looked awful) and we did think that it was actually better than dinner! We both had salads (one Brasserie, one special) and shared the fabulous "dessert gourmand"... pastis to start, rose to accompany and (since it was pouring down) we sat around drinking coffee and digestifs for quite awhile.
A great spot, fine food, welcoming staff and a wonderful atmosphere - overall highly recommended!

We enjoyed our meal at this quaint ‘Mr so little’ cafe. The setting was beautiful. It felt like we had been transported to a street in France.

Limited options for vegetarians but the food that we ordered was good. We got the goat cheese salad, the yellow curry with rice and the mango salad. My husband ordered the filet fish and creme brûlée for himself and was happy with his order.

Really nicely laid out, short and simple menu with mix of Khmer for and Western good service and generally a nice place to get away from the chaos.
