We just got back to Sydney after 6 nights at Sonalong.Hak and his team are all fantastic - nothing is a problem and you feel welcome. Its small but not too small - handy as 10 mins walk to river /town or 3 mins in a tuk tuk. Quiet, spacious rooms (we had a combined/joining room with kids in one). Breakfast simple but filling and always delivered with grace and a smile. Pickup at airport and advice generally all no problem. The pool is nice and my kids liked feeding the fish.

Room Tip: Personal preference if you want to be upstairs or not. Maybe a tad nicer upstairs than ground for a view but not much in it.

The place is a peaceful, relaxing base for all your excursions around Siem Reap. The pool is great, as is the atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and couldn't do more for you. I needed a doctor - no problem. I left my credit card at a restaurant - no problem. We were very well looked after. The rooms are a bit basic (a lack of places to put clothing over a 4 day stay) and perhaps needed a slightly more thorough clean but at the price, absolutely worth it. And they do washing by weight! Brilliant.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 5 weeks and there were other regular guests at the same time, staying for a few months and more! The owner/manager Mr Hak is very friendly and welcoming and is a mine of local information which he is happy to share with you and to help you enjoy your local experiences. His staff are happy and lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent...spacious, clean and very comfortable and even have a ceiling fan on the balcony/terrace with comfortable chairs. Breakfasts are excellent too with good choices of Asian or Western food...I also enjoyed some lovely dinners at the hotel. The swimming pool area is lovely with very comfortable sun beds and towels provided. Beautiful gardens with many varieties of trees and flowers, even with labels to tell you the names of the trees! The location of the hotel is perfect...in a quiet street with a lovely local atmosphere and easy walking distance to the centre of Siem Reap but there are also tuk tuks parked outside to take you further afield. I have no complaints, only praise for this special hotel and I look forward to returning another year!

We spent a week in Sonalong Boutique and I must say was a very positive experience!
The hotel arranged the pick up from the Airport with a tuk tuk...which is a lovely way to start the "Cambodia experience" after many hours on a plane!

Sehya the manager was impeccable and very helpful with any requests: from sharing useful information to organize a driver and a guide for us.
the room was spacious, clean and with a very comfortable bed. The swimming pool surrounded by glorious palms and tropical trees was a delight after many hours of walking among the temples. This is not a luxurious Hotel but authentic, genuine, comfortable, clean and friendly! The only observation I can make is the Menu of the Restaurant....very poor! But if you consider that in 5 minutes walk you are in the Old Market or in Pub Street with plenty of choices...they can be forgiven!:)

Room Tip: We had a room on the higher floor and we loved the breeze coming from the balcony, the tropical view of the plants and the privacy of being higher!
