This place is fantastic! It is a little far from Pub street but they can always arrange a driver. We booked our tuk tuk driver, Mr Wah frou Sojourn and we continued to use him even when we moved to another hotel (because Sojourn was fully booked and had no more rooms). I highly recommend Mr. Wah, he was very easy going, navigated the temples well, careful driver and courteous. He made our day trips smooth and easy!

my husband & I stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. Enjoyed our stay a lot. This place is in the middle of a small village 15 mins by tuk-Tuk from siem reap. its a small, green & well maintained property with excellent staff. We chose this place basis the reviews in trip-advisor, Am glad that we did. Would recommend this highly.

We booked the three night getaway and weren't disappointed. Our driver taught us so much about the culture and sites we visited, nothing was too much trouble for him. Our Villa was so peaceful and clean and we loved the outdoor shower. The massages are pricey than in town but well worth every cent.

Service was better than we have received in any 5 star resort with staff greeting you by name each day and going above and beyond at all times. The food was fantastic.

Really could not fault anything whilst staying at the villa's. Can't wait to return.

fair enough - it is not in Siem Reap but it is worth the extra 10 min by tuk tuk. This place provides a great escape. It is very private. Since it only has a few villas, it provides a very peaceful atmosphere. The food is excellent. The staff lovely. The setting is very pleasant with flowers and lovely plants everywhere. The villas are great too, spacious and with solid air con. I'd definitely recommend it!

If staying in Siem Reap with its cheek by jowl array of big hotels, Sojourn is an excellent choice about 10 minutes south. Our family of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 grandsons 5 and 7) booked the 3-day package. Our guide and driver had very good English skills and were a fountain of knowledge. Moreover, they were very flexible with the schedule and accommodated the boys' interest and attention span. For example, it was so very hot at Angkor Wat the first day that instead of going on to Angkor Thom immediately, we went back to the hotel, ate our lunch packs there, and waited until later in the day to go back to Angkor Thom. On the last day two of went on the walking tour of the village, which was very, very interesting and informative (this is a different guide, also very good). The food in the restaurant is excellent with lots of choices, and the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. The last day the younger boy suddenly ran a very high temperature, and the staff immediately jumped in to help by going out to purchase a thermometer and calling the local hospital so we could talk to a nurse. The massages that came with the package were fine. Like many Asian therapists, they use a lot of thumb pressure, so you might want to start off with "soft" or "medium" and then escalate if you wish. If there are two of you, you will be a room together. We had the bungalows with the outdoor shower, which was wonderful. I would give Sojourn closer to 5 stars except for a couple of things. First, the lunch pack is just one sandwich and one drink, so if you need more food than that, you will need to order extra at your expense. Secondly, the massage will not measure up to trained therapists (at least not in my estimation). They do not ask if there are particularly spots you would like them to concentrate on, and they all do basically the same massage. The Sunset "picnic" is really just snacks, albeit very tasty. You have a choice of either cheese, little toasts and olives or one with chicken strips in sauce and fruit. One other thing to be aware of is that it takes quite a while for lunch or dinner to be cooked and served. This isn't necessarily a bad thing--but it's good to be forewarned so that you know you will be having a leisurely dinner. Finally, be aware that you might be sharing the evening with geckos, which can have a rather noisy call. I thought it added to the ambience, but some might find it annoying. Overall we would definitely recommend Sojourn.

My husband and I stayed at the Sojourn in September 2010 and loved it. It lived up to our expectations from tripadvisor - they are clearly proud of having excellent ratings and work hard to maintain this. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with a couple of resident gecko babies that I sure would have been promptly removed had we wished them to be (but we quite liked them). The staff were so helpful, management friendly, and the hotel arranged a tuktuk driver who we liked so kept on for the duration of our stay. The pool area was lovely and never busy, so much so that the pool bar didn't have a permanent staff member, but as soon as we went near the pool one would instantly appear just in case we wanted anything. On our arrival day we were very early and the room was not ready, however I requested a masseuse who was brought from the town in 15 minutes and was happy to work by the pool - lovely! Obviously expensive compared to in town (I think around 15 dollars for an hour - cheap by most standards anyway), but you get what you pay for with luxurious surroundings. Breakfast was different each day, with a menu of options to choose from included. One of the few B&B holidays where I have bothered to get up for it. All in all would highly recommend it. Nina, St Albans

Room Tip: I think these are all excellent

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sojourn Boutique for three nights in December 2011.

The hotel accomodation was superb- several small cottages around a central pool. The tranquil location was so relaxing and a perfect contrast to Pnom Penh where we'd spent a few days beforehand.

Our cottage was an good size and clean. The outdoor shower ( in addition to an indoor one) was a nice additional touch. Also, the food in the restaurant was superb and freshly cooked to order.

The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The staff were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. All staff spoke perfect english and really made an effort chat to you. The whole ethos of the villas was to give back to the local community and this really came across when speaking to all the staff.

The only slight downside of the trip was that the villas are based about a (very bumpy) 10 minute tuk-tuk ride outside of Siem Reap- which means a trip to the centre needs a bit more planning. However, there is an agreement with the tuk-tuk drivers that work for Soujorn. They drop you off in Siem Reap and wait in a designated spot until you're ready to leave- all for the cost of $3 for the round trip.

Overall, an excellent place to stay.
