“Comfortable Stay!”
Reviewed 2 July 2012

Our family had a great stay for 4 nights at this lovely hotel with beautiful decoration around hotel facilities especially our rooms had pool side view and very friendly helpful staffs.
Breakfast was fantastic, lobby lounge was huge plenty of space and good running air-conditioning.
Cambodian, Siem Reap Angkor temple absolutely wonderful and definitely come back.

All of our experiences at this hotel were good from reception all the way to checking out. I'm just going to go point-by-point on this review as I still have a pretty clear recollection of our wonderful stay there.

Checking-in : The lobby area is opulent and large but checking in is pretty much touch and go, depending on how crowded it gets at that time of day. When we got in, there wasn't anyone else, so it was a breeze, but immediately after we got in, an enormous tour group came in and were still there an hour after we left our rooms to head out. This is a tourist hotel and you may have to contend with large numbers, so if that's something you can't deal with, you may have to choose a more secluded hotel. As a tip, you have to get the attention of the check-in staff as they may not know you're there and there is no conspicuous queuing system.

Hotel rooms : These are reasonably large and clean. No problems there. The sheets are changed regularly and if you politely ask for the extras like more towels and toiletries, you get very friendly service. Not noisy, but not deathly quiet either. But again, because of possible large tour groups, you may get numbers of people going into or out of nearby rooms all at the same time. It's not a big deal unless you're super fussy.

Breakfast and the restaurant : The buffet breakfast is good, with a sufficient variety of both local and international fare. Other meals in the restaurant are also very reasonably priced, though the service might be a little slow. Quality of food is well above average.

Spa : This is probably the best part of the hotel and massages can get fully booked, so book early. Inexpensive, and better than the ones in town. You will not be disappointed.

Gym : This one really needs improvement. Two rather old fashioned treadmills and some weight machines that don't really work very well. Give it a miss.

Pool : Very good, not too crowded (surprisingly). Again, poolside food service is a hit-and-miss affair and waiters may or may not show up. Pool towels are also a problem that they haven't been able to get solved as they always seem to run out.

Overall, worth a stay due to the location and general comfort. If you're going to Siem Reap with a family, this is a good base to explore the ruins and city.

The Angkor Miracle Spa & Resort is very elegant & has a unique ambiance to it.
I went in low season & had booked a premium deluxe pool view room, however upon arrival I asked if an upgrade was possible, not only was it possible, I was upgraded to the presidential suite, all I can say is that it was absolutely amazing, very clean & spacious.
Hotel staff were very friendly & attentive, the breakfast menu varied daily with both eastern & western choices & the facilities were perfect. Definitely recommend the Karma Spa after a long day of temple visits
The hotel is well situated in Siem Reap, just out of the min part of town & only a 5 min tuk tuk ride to the night markets.
Highly recommend as I will definitely stay here again.

Not only do you get a great value for your money but also a new, clean and very friendly and attentive staff. The staff were quick to respond to our needs. The room was specious and clean. The breakfast buffet was great. The hotel had an elegance to it and close to the town. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again!!!

Room Tip: If bug free and cleanliness is a must for you then consider this hotel.

The hotel couldn't be better. It is less than 2 years old and was very clean and fragrant. The room was spacious with beautiful wood floors and trim and my room had a very nice patio overlooking the pool (first floor). The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The included breakfast buffet was wonderful with both eastern and western choices and dinner at the hotel was also very nicely prepared and reasonably priced. The lounge across from the dining room was a perfect place to go after dinner. The Filipino duo who play there are great musicians. They play to the audience and do a great job of taking requests. They are the 'regular' entertainment in the lounge and are called Level 2 Duo. The drinks are very modestly priced and there is no cover charge. You can't ask for a better combination. I was in Siem Reap on vacation and would definitely return to that hotel if I return to Cambodia.

Room Tip: The first floor was great because of access to the pool.

I stayed at Angkor Miracle for 3 nights in January 2011 from the 13th to 16th .Overall i had a wonderful stay throughout my stay here.I was thoroughly satisfied.Only one exception they could have done better with the breakfast buffet. The other restaurants fared well.I simply loved the ambiance at Angkor Miracle. We were on full board tour for the first 2 days, loved the majestic Angkor but we were quite tired out, when we reached the hotel, the staffs the treated us well, with a smile on their faces.Third day was free and easy,so we had quality and solitude time to unwind to ourselves in the hotel.Would love to recommend this hotel to anyone.Well at Angkor Wat you should be out on tour to the majestic temples instead of trapping yourselves in the room!If you were to do that then Cambodia is just not the place for you!
P/s-Had to put the travel period as July 2011 because of the automated prompt.Actual travel dates are updated with title.

Room Tip: At this hotel, any rooms should be good!

What's with all the good reviews for this place on TripAdvisor?

I booked Angkor Miracle simply based on the number of good reviews this hotel has on TripAdvisor. Stayed 4 nights there in the last week of May 2012. Thoroughly disappointed with my stay there. I'd much rather have stayed at Sofitel or Le Meridien. This place is just average.

Pros:
- Good service. No complaints about that. The staff can speak passable English
- We stayed in the deluxe pool-view room. The room size was decent. The room has a balcony which was nice
- The salt water pool was quite good for a swim in the mornings/afternoons

Cons:
- Weird washbasin drainage outlet. The washbasin clogged up each time we used it
- Shower cabin had a drainage problem. The water seemed to percolate near the drainage outlet
- Also, there was hard water in the wash basin. Was extremely difficult to get the soap off
- Walls separating rooms seem to be quite thin. We could hear the damn conversation in the other room. When we switched on the television, the couple next door asked us to lower the volume. The walls seem to be pretty damn thin
- Patchy WiFi connection
- Far from downtown. This hotel is probably the furthest hotel from downtown. Wasn't that much of an inconvenience with the number of tuk-tuks available though. You can bargain to USD 2 for a ride to from the hotel to the Pub Street / Old Market area. Siem Reap itself is a pretty small town so being 15 minutes away from downtown isn't that much of a hassle
- The USD 100+ I was paying for the room would definitely have been better spent at Sofitel or Le Meridien. I think Angkor Miracle is supposed to be a 4-star place but definitely didn't seem worth a 4-star
- Overal ambience in the reception/lobby area is bad. The place seems to be teeming with tourists on package tours

Overall, if you can afford to spend the extra USD 25 to 50 per night, just stay at Sofitel or Le Meridien.
