Great service, lovely place. The beef deep fried spring rolls were the best I've ever had. The rest of the food we had was very good. Even though it's on the main road I didn't notice any traffic noise.

We didn't stay here so I can't comment on the hotel, but the food was great. The surroundings are reminiscient of the French colonial period. The service was good although we were the only ones eating at the time. I had the fish amok and would highly recommend it. We didn't sit there but the terrace area out the front was very pretty. It's slightly higher priced than some other restaurants in Siem Riep but then you pay for the surroundings and the quality of the food.

It was just perfect: the polite personnel set-up our room 'honeymoon-like', as requested they gave us a quiet room at the back of the hotel, far away from street noise. The room is an experience on its own. The location is premium, right in the center of Siem Reap, a few steps from anything but still as quiet as possible for the location. The building was recently renewed and its standards, for being in Asia, are quite high for the small price. The pool on the roof top is very nice and clean: a perfect place to chill out and only a few guests frequented it: no kids screaming around nor loud-drunken tourists which seem to be a compulsory part of the experience in most Asian 3-4 star hotels with swimming pool. We have not used the restaurant but it looks nice and I read good reviews. Personnel was helpful and I can't find any small reason to complain, on the contrary, I found several negative reviews I read on this site very unfair: a) First of all, you can't expect to pay 20EUR pp and get a 5 star hotel b) You can't book in the very city center and complain for the traffic noise you hear when hanging out on the roof top c) Hygenic perception is different in asia and anybody used to travel knows this: if you get irritated when seeing dust in corners or need your laundry to get changed on a daily basis, you better change destination or budget 100USD/night (P.S. this place was much cleaner and in better conditions than London's Interconti...)

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, upper floors in the back of the hotel

We had 3 nights here up on the top floor in an amazing room with a fountain in our lounge room and our bedroom upstairs. We loved all the gawdish decorations that were everywhere throughout this hotel. It added to its charm. We also loved that the hotel is totally central to everything. Markets. Restaurants. Bars. Clubs. Everything. Shopping was great in Siem Reap. Best and cheapest we had throughout Cambodia and Vietnam.
Definately put aside a couple of days to see the temples. Was a highlight of our trip.
We would recommend staying here for the rooms and the position but you need to be prepared for the stairs as they don't have an elevator. Another downer was the lack of staff at the pool. Never saw one. Ever. And the wifi was very scratchy. Hardly ever worked. Last gripe was the brekki. We had it there once and then ate elsewhere. Even though there's a few negatives we would stay here again. U just work your way around them and find another solution. Nothing was toooo bad

No 4 stars, no way, old & outdated, some call it traditional ;-)
I call it NEVER again, nice for a picture, that's it, the fountain in the bedroom, gives a funny smell to the room.
The shower water also end up in this fountain/pool...
Thinking back at this hotel filled with mosquitos still gives me the shivers.
The only good thing about it is it's location, across the street from Haven training restaurant & Genevieve's. Close to Pub Street & 1 of several night markets.
Those are my + points.

Room Tip: None since I can't say we had a good room. Rooftop, next to the pool might be nice, do keep in...

This hotel is not for everyone, if you love clean white rooms this is probably not the place for you. The staff were very good, friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic we had a fountain next to our shower in our two story loft style room, excellent balconies and views over Siem Reap. The building is getting a little bit tired, but we had a fun four nights here. Breakfast was average but it was lovely sitting outside in the restaurant in the morning. Location is fantastic.
