MEN's Resort & Spa - Gay Hotel

First of all, let me tell you how relaxing the resort made me feel. Pierre and his staff tend to your need. The pool area is a lush tropical paradise. It is very serene and becomes the center and meeting point of the resort. Breakfast is poolside with great coffee! All meals are tasty and reasonably priced. The bar and morning staff are very witty and humerous and make you laugh over and over.

Our room was very spectacular and modern, as was the bathroom. The shower was large with lots of hot water and nice toilet articles. Two bathrobes were provided to wear around the pool area or in your room.

Wireless internet was free and always available, even in your room!

Excellent tours to the temples can be arranged with the front desk reception.

Sauna was active best between 1900 and 2100, with guests and locals.

Room Tip: Choose a Suite with king bed versus the standard room.

It was worth the price with interesting interiors and with only 10 rooms and my room number was 10. The Spa and Sauna was brilliant it was right next to the pool, they have a decent bar and gym. It was much better than other places I lived as I made friends and had a great company all the time during my stay. It is must stay place for Gay and Solo Travelers!

This hotel is well run and managed and guests are made to feel very comfortable. The security in the hotel is excellent and the staff are very well trained. We enjoyed ourselves very much, the food was excellent, the pool was great and overall it was a restful and peaceful experience.

Room Tip: If you are two persons, then the suites are best for you.

i hate gay resorts. a friend took me here & i so fell in love - great food, beautiful place, friendly staff. yeah, there is a steamy men's sauna where you can fool around, but it's a bit off the deck, so i could sit, sun and read on the deck (and on my moral high horse) while my friends played.

the place is a bit remote, but they provide you with a mini-cab driver who's at your call, and will take you to town, to plunder the food markets (my favorite) or attractions.

For my first visit to Siem Reap, I chose to stay here and am so glad I did. This hotel really enhanced my trip. Most gay hotels don't come anywhere near this level of service.

By Western standards this place is a bargain and you would pay double or triple for the same level of accomodations elsewhere

I stayed in a suite and it was wonderfully designed. Wonderful room with lots of space, great minibar, safe, lounge area, desk, balcony and the bathroom had a great rain shower.

When I needed anything the hotel was happy to provide it. They even got me discounted tickets to the Ankgor Museum. They also secured a car and guide for touring the temples (HIGHLY recommended. Use the car service, you'll get around quicker and see more) The restaurant and bar on site were excellent and extremely well priced for anything you needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order every morning.

Even though it's a little bit off the beaten path, there is always a tuk tuk driver when you need one. (It is kind of Mr Toad's wild ride down the unpaved dirt road, so hang on!) I actually appreciated the location more than staying close to town, this gave me the chance to see more of the city and walking into town was just about a 20 minute stroll.

The place does turn into a kind of quiet bathhouse between 5 and 9pm. They do have a sauna, jacuzzi etc and the locals show up, but as a dedicated people watcher, I enjoyed sitting at the bar and having a drink and chatting people up during this time.

All in all, I highly recommend this place for any gay men considering a visit to Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Go for the Suite!

For a gay solo traveller in Asia, accommodation can be problematic. However, in Siem Reap I had the good fortune to stay at Men's Resort, run by the friendly Pierre and his well-trained staff. The room was superbly appointed and spotlessly clean, with free wi-fi and good support facilities for the holiday traveller. The massage facilities and staff were of the highest quality. The pool and other facilities were well-maintained and the food selection at the in-house dining area simple but of good quality. It is slightly out of the main part of town but Siem Reap is small and any tour organisers will happily meet you there. It is a pleasant 20 minute walk along the river into town. I'd recommend it for solo travellers and for gay couples looking for a romantic weekend away.

On my first trip to Cambodia, I found Phnom Penh interesting and looked forward to SR as a possibly even more enjoyable and relaxing experience. From the moment of my arrival and the super efficient "meet & Greet" at the SR bus depot and MEN's venue - I knew that I was in good hands and that my expectations would be met. I was not disappointed.

As a traveller of more than 30 years, staying in a diverse range of "hotel & similar" 2 to 5 star estyablishments. I thought the level of quiet efficiency - disp[layed by all memebers of Staff at any time of day or night, showed the excellent and comprehensively thoughtful Management at work - it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Cafe was good, the staff friendly and the tour arrangements organised by Pierre were most enjoyable. Location, Staff, Management & facilities - all excellent and I certainkly look forward to a return visit. Thank you - it really was a memorable 'stay' and in total terms, unmatched by anywhere else in my 5 weeks of travel. Kel.

Room Tip: Upstairs overlooking the pool is great.
