First word of warning - do not use the hotels.com link above to book this hotel. It actually links to a different hotel with a similar name, something I didn't realise until I was looking for the address of the hotel when we arrived in Siem Riep. Still trying to get my money back from hotels.com for their error!

So, the good things. Location fairly close to the nightlife of pub street but far enough not to be noisy. The staff are friendly and happy to help.

Not so good - room was tired. Towels were pretty grotty. The room smelt very musty and on our first night the aircon didn't work. In all fairness the staff did fix it the next day after we complained. Breakfast buffet was average, food didn't taste that fresh and they often ran out of items.

This is a nice hotel. They were very accommodating allowing us to check out late and had a breakfast packed for us when we started out early at 4:30 AM. It was also fun to be able to walk to the night market and there a few nice restaurants within a couple mins walk too.

My husband and I spent three days here and it was a great choice. Very affordable, it exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious and fresh fruit was provided. The electricity went off a couple of times but came back quickly. The staff was extremely helpful and there were always tuk-tuks outside to get to temples or into town.

I would recommend staying at the Angkor Pearl. It's not a five star luxury hotel, so don't expect carpeting, staff that kowtow endlessly, elevator music, and a bathroom with glass panels. It is, however, quite spacious with enough necessities - big bed, lighting, aircon, TV, free wifi, breakfast usually included, clean bathroom with running hot water and shampoo/dental kit/towels. I only wish that the hotel had aircon that was more quiet, and a means of deterring the mosquitoes! Nonetheless, the staff were so helpful. They arranged for airport transfer, and recommended a great place for dinner where I was able to watch traditional Khmer dances! When I checked out in the morning, they even gifted me a scarf. That was a lovely touch. Will definitely return here again!

Room Tip: Higher floors are more removed from the noise of the street, and generally have a nicer view. Howeve...

Definitely recommend staying here in Siem Reap. Cambodia can be like running a gauntlet as far as traveling goes. They're always pulling you this and that way but this place was a nice haven from all that madness. It was nice and luxuries for the price while bing relaxing and laid-back at the same time. .

We really enjoyed Angkor Pearl hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, plus the room was good. It was also close to the market and town. There was some loud music from across the street playing, it seemed to be from a speaker post but we were out most of the time. We would certainly recommend it to others

Room - pretty spacious with all the necessary amenities. There was even a fruit basket prepared for us in the room. Only downside was the view of my room facing a dirty construction site which is quite a turn off, can't blame the hotel for this though.

Service - excellent service provided even though we stayed for one night only. Reception staff offered to call the bus company to pick us up in the morning. Also, we accidentally locked our safe with a random password, and the owner has to come up himself to help us unlock. Spoke with him and find him a very sincere guy, with a good command of English.

Breakfast was up to international standard and we even got a departing gift when we check out. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience staying here. Thumbs up!
