“Well worth a few days”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

There are so many temples that it's well worth spending at least a couple of days here. The pass is $20/day or $40 for 3 days. You can come and go on each day so I did more little trips of a few hours each rather than trying to cram it all in in one giant day. The heat does get to you after a while.

Don't miss going to the smaller temples as they're where you'll get away from the crowds and get the chance to actually just enjoy the place. The sheer size is amazing.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

The trip was fenomenal, probably one of the best places i´ve been to.
you get the feeling that you´re being taken to another dimension...

Be sure to hire a Tuk-tuk for the entire time you´re there. Negociate with any driver locally, and that´s all you´ll need. In the morning get ready to leave the hotel early and vist whatever temples you choose, and return mid afternoon.
Most of the hotels are nearby but you need a tuk tuk to drive you to the city center for some dinner. Be sure to enjoy the city night life which is amazing!
Having said that, the park has duzens of temples to visit.. Depending on the time you have available, choose what you want to visit!
I´ve stayed for 5 days in Siem Reap and saw it all. If i hadn´t, most likely I´d have enjoyed it more! First you´ll get to tired, and second, your brain will start to ignore it.. it´s human nature.

“Don't try to do too much”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Many temples and palaces in the park. All world class. Recommend a guide but don't try and do too much as you can get a bit templed out. Worth staying a few extra days and wish I had researched more before hand. Instead I have been
researching in the evenings to try and appreciate more..

“Must see before you die!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

This is such an amazing place! A must do for everyone!

There is so much more in this area than just Angkor Wat and all the temples are equally as beautiful and magical but all have their own unique atmospheres.

I was with a tour group so only had limited time and visited three temples (Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple/Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm) but would have loved to do more of the other temples in the area.

We had a local guide which I loved as he gave us a lot of great history about the temples and I felt I got a lot more out of the sites than if I had been without one. He was an official one for the park (they all have uniforms on so can be easily spotted). He also had good English so there wasn't too much of a language barrier.

While a few of the areas were very touristy (I visited in wet season so is the quiet time... I was told it is very busy at the peak season) there was still the odd quiet place I found for some great photos and exploring.

If you have a cloud free morning it's worth getting out of bed very early to see the sun rise of Angkor Wat.
