The food here is exquisite. The staff are fantastic especially the manager who is hilarious. Only problem was we only got to eat here on our last night otherwise I would have been here every night

We didn't check out on Tripadvisor before we left for Siem Reap. This restaurant was highly recommended by our friends who went Siem Reap earlier this year. It is tuck in some deep road with no street lights at all, and our tuk tuk driver had no idea where it was. We made the call and was driven through some muddy roads (not sure if it was even a road!) and for a moment, I did worry if we were in some danger, until we saw another tuk tuk with some tourists.

Went we reached about 10m away from the restaurant entrance, I was still wondering if there indeed is a restaurant. To be frank, I almost gave up and wanna ask the tuk tuk driver to send me back before he left us for good.

My friends decided to pursue on and I followed! And when you reached the restaurant, you can't believe that such place exist at the end of this dark scary road (I was only told the next day, it was the CEMETERY! OMG!")

We ordered Fish Amok (the Traditional Cambodian fish curry), Snapper, Steak and Prawn. The food were awesome! Especially the bake snapper, the skin is very salty so be warned, but the meaty is very juicy and tasty (be warned that there are bones). The banana flower salad is refreshing with very tender meat. As for Fish Amok, it comes in curry gravy, I think the ones in Phnom Penh were much better. Prawn were ok not something to wow about, while the beef steak is nicely done up.

Tips: Do call to reserve to cos despite its location, we were surprise to see alot of tourists. if you cant reach that place, do get the tuk tuk driver to call them for direction. There were several blackouts that night when we were there, at least 3! We ate in pitch dark but the staff were quick to bring the candles to our tables.

Free wifi available, do ask for passwords. Staff were friendly and will help you get a tuk tuk after dinner. They only accept cash (US$). 3 of us spent about US$120 for 5 dishes with wine. Maybe you can considering bringing a torch light.

Enjoy the bumpy muddy ride and the dinner!

After rain during the day, the road to the restaurant was an experience all on its own. We had been told it was bumpy but were probably not prepared for the ride. The ride home was even more of an experience but we laughed the whole way.
After the experience of the road there, the restaurant is an unexpected treasure. The food was beautiful, the service excellent. They were happy to spend the time explaining the different foods to us, to help us make our choices. All food was extremely tasty - had a taste of the calamari and that was amazing. A few of us had the red snapper and the staff were great with helping us get thru this with us little bone as possible.
Only a small restaurant and lucky we had booked as all tables were taken.

We thought our guide was joking when he lurched through a narrow back street with pot holes deep enough for "search and rescue" teams for tuk tuks ,to show us the restaurant he recommended. Ratanak assured us it was great, family owned and had very good food and service so we rolled ( lurched up) at 7pm.
That ride was part of the fun as the short cut is via a old cemetery and that's exactly where our enterprising Tuk Tuk driver went. The other part of our group went along the road and ended up stuck in a large puddle as the tuk tuk was unable to cope....I am not kidding, this should be an obstacle course not a road. BUT...it was worth it.
The actual restaurant was packed with a large party of 30 and other tables were full. The BBQ'd whole red snapper was simply superb, wrapped in banana leaves and salted with a stuffing of lemon grass. The entrée of rolls was excellent and so was the stir fried scallop dish. Two ordered peppered steak and were not as impressed as we were.........when in Asia eat Asian is good advice.
Service was very good, not a 5 star place and the odd local pooch wanders through which is somewhat disconcerting for diners but hey its Cambodia and they were not aggressive/ hungry or rabid!
Certainly the best food we had in Siem Reap over 5 days and without a doubt the most exciting ride in a tuk tuk in the dark unlit back street....memorable night!

Thank Moores
