“Cozy and with very good service but nothing special”
Reviewed 19 December 2011

Good, cozy place to spend a couple of days.

Rooms are OK and very clean and the staff is very helpful. Breakfast is average but not bad. One of the most beautiful corners of the hotel is the small terace in the front that it is a nice place for pre-dinner drinks.

Not very far away from the tourist street (a pleasant 20 minutes walk).

Clean and quite. Recommended for short stays and if you mainly want a place for a quite sleep.

While I didn't spend a lot of time in my room (pool view deluxe), it was comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be the shower - the water was cold on two mornings, and I had to hold the showerhead in my hand to bathe. That said, I was happy with the room. There are a number of breakfast options, and the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to Pub Street and plenty of shopping.

Frangipani Villa is in a good location, only a few minutes walk to the markets and the Pub Street area. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. All the meals and amenities are very good as well. Overall a great place to stay.

Room Tip: No elevator so if you don't like stairs ask for the lower levels.

Frangipani Villa Hotel was attractive, comfortable, clean and in a great location. Just 5 minute tuk tuk ride to Pub Street and Night Market. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool area wonderful after a long day at the temples!

Breakfast was excellent with a huge amount of choice. We had a Double Deluxe room. It was lovely and light, bathroom a very good size and there was a good size balcony overlooking the pool. (I don't know what the quality of standard rooms is, but ours was great!)

I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms have balcony overlooking the attractive pool area and are light and airy, but do get th...

I really love the design of the hotel, very lovely and eco-friendly! True to its name, almost everywhere in the hotel, especially its room, you can find fresh frangipani or frangipani deco. The staff are friendly and breakfast was satisfying. My friend and I enjoyed the spa experience at the villa, the ambience was relaxing.

Room Tip: There is no lift at the hotel but then there is only 3 floors at the hotel, and the staff are more t...

I think the highlights of our stay here was the friendliness of the staff, the pool and (for me) the delicious cocktails. We had a street view room on the second floor as we wanted to be able to watch the hustle and bustle outside, the noise of the outside didn't affect our sleep either. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. It's an excellent base from which to explore the temples, come back and have a dip in the pool and have a few drinks (the prices of which are a fraction of the prices we're used to in the UK).

To add to a couple of things mentioned by other reviewers - the hotel chain is an ethical one, it is socially and environmentally aware and for this reason alone I'd recommend people to stay here. Secondly - yes there are geckos in asia - get over it!

Very nice hotel with all facilities; nice pool and service. Located midtown allowing nice walk within the city, and not fare from Angkor site.
