“A little bit of luxury for a great price!!”
Reviewed 16 December 2010

We stayed here after hearing about it on the internet and after a couple of days budgeting needed a place to chill, be comfortable and pampered and this was it!! The rooms are traditionally furnished the bed is REALLY comfortable and that can be hard to find in Cambodia. The staff really make your stay special though from the moment you arrive!! They are extremley attentive, always there to bring drinks, fruit, anything you want and there are many complimentry extras provided here.
We had a little trouble with our room on the first night but it was sorted promptly the next day and followed up so all was good. Overall i would recommend this hotel and would definetly stay there again if i returned to Siam Reap!

I recently had the pleasure of staying here for a few nights whilst visiting Angkor. I had the most relaxing time in a well presented and turned out room, with the best staff who couldn't have been more helpful or more smiley. The guide booked to show me the temples was a lovely chap and very knowledgable called Goldie. I made the most of the massage facilities which were lovely and the pool which certainly helps take the pace of fSiem Reap living. All in all a wonderful place to rest your boots whilst visiting the temples.

We had looked at several hotels in Siem Reap, and made a last minute decision to book this over the phone after we arrived in Phnom Penh. Richard took our call, was very helpful, reserved us a poolside room and arranged to have us collected on arrival from the local bus station. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff are one of this hotels greatest assets, extremely friendly and attentive, as we were greeted by name each time we stepped back inside hotel grounds. Our room was beautifully presented on arrival, and a hotel supplied tuk tuk driver took care of our travel to the Angkor Wat and others, along with chilled water for the day. The breakfasts were generous, filling and tasty, but as we dined out each night we can't comment on the the lunch or dinner offerings, however they looked delicious on the menu. The pool was refreshing and cool, and the body massage rated well with anything else we have experienced in SE Asia. Overall, we can recommend this hotel to anyone wanting something a little upmarket, and close to the center of Siem Reap, with only an easy, short 10 min walk to "Pub Street" with all the bars and lovely restaurants.

The Golden Temple is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the city of Siem Riep. The staff are extemely helpful, courteous and honest. My trips to Angkor Wat were well organised thanks to the hotel. Food is excellent and the swimming pool is well maintained.
Well worth paying a visit.

While other hotels may have the same facilities, like swimming pools and massage centre, what sets this hotel apart from others is the staff. They are courteous, friendly and always with a smile. Just ask for Richard who will arrange anything you need from a foot massage (which I recommend) to a tour of the surrounding temples.

The Golden Temple Hotel provides a peaceful haven from the noise and bustle of Siem Reap.
