“Beautiful and memorable place to visit again !”
Reviewed 20 February 2011

We, my family, stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I was not so sure about the quality of this hotel when I picked it only by looking at the pictures and the introduction presented on the Hotel Home page. I realized, however, it is better than what is said in its website. It is a small hotel with beautiful decorations and even more beautiful than the pictures I saw. It was very comfortable to stay. When we got there, we were welcomed by its very kind staffs, who were always smiling. The room was not very big, but very clean and comfortable enought for my family. My son, a teenager, liked the swimming pool and free internet access. By considering it is located in Siem Reap, I believe it is good and price competitive. I'll be willing to recommend this hotel to my frineds.

The staff went above and beyond constantly to make our stay the best it could be. Our room was immaculate. The hotel has pre-negotiated rates for tuk tuk driver that are very competitive. Our tuk tuk driver drove us all around Angkor Wat from 5 AM to 6:30 PM for $12 for the day. The hotel also has very competitive rates for massages and the restaurant. 1-hour massage was around $4-5. The restaurant food ranged from about $3.50/meal and up. Great location too, as it is easy walking distance to Pub street and the night market. The pool area was amazing. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you Golden Temple Hotel for an amazing time in Cambodia!

I can't say enough about the staff and their willingness to be provide great service. They attempted to meet and exceed all of our expectations and requests. The only time there were any issues is when something was lost in translation — but these occurrences were minor and infrequent as, on the whole, the staff spoke great English. We had a very pleasant stay. Richard at the front desk and other staff were exceptional. Our room was generally as pictured, and clean and comfortable. Our only quibble with it was that the shower had slight mildew/mold problem. It should also be noted that the hotel closely neighbors a youth hostel with an open deck on one side. Our room was adjacent to this, and at times it was a bit noisy (though noise died down by midnight) and the close proximity made the deck from our room unusable (didn't want to look directly into hostel rooms while relaxing). This problem could be avoided by getting a room on the pool side of the hotel.

We spent 3 nights here while exploring Angkor Wat. The staff were extremely gracious. We liked that the hotel was a 5 minute walk to the market and bar street. The pool was by far the biggest selling point for this hotel. After 8 hours of temple adventures, the pool was the perfect escape to finish the day. The service poolside and in the restaurant was fantastic. The free 1 hour foot massage was amazing. The hotel has tons of character. Our only minor complaint was the air conditioning would shut off after 30 minutes and require you to start it up again and again. Overall a great experience and for the money the best hotel in Siem Reap.

We spent 4 nights at the Golden Temple in January 2011 and we enjoyed every minute of our trip. The hotel is lovely with charming, helpful and friendly staff. Our room was pretty and quiet and it had all the facilities you could wish for after a hard day's temple visiting. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the Khmer food was great.

The hotel also provided us with an excellent guide and driver (many thanks to Mr Uk Akara and Mr Orm Saven) who were both knowledgeable and helpful, and who helped us to get the most out of our brief stay in Cambodia.

We'll be back again next year!

This was our first choice hotel and it was Chinese New year so we were really thrilled to get any reservation here at all. We absolutely loved the amazing pool and the breakfast was out of this world good. I cannot even describe to you how fun the presentation of the food service was - you have to see for yourself! The staff was great and the Golden Temple is loaded with amenities that make your stay extra comfy - for example there are DVDs in the room of Kiling fields and History of Angkor Wat and you always have cold water and a well-stocked bathroom. There is a nice terrace outside most rooms to sit and have a drink and I cannot say enough enough about the location which is a quick walk over the bridge into the main shopping/restaurant/pub area. We had so much fun there with the kids every night. The market is the best one I have seen in Cambodia and I got the most amazing and unique statue in one of the shops. Be sure to eat at Amok and all of the great restaurants in the area around it. You will love this trip! Oh, I did want to say that I had to mark down on sleep quality and value because the rooms we were in (though super lovely and spacious and we were lucky to get them) faced the road and it was quite noisy at night. I felt for the price the room was too noisy - but it was also Chinese New Year and this could have contributed to the noisiness. It is still a 5 star rating, no doubt, just maybe ask if your room faces the street if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, enjoy!
