“Small but definitely worthwhile!”
Reviewed 12 November 2013 via mobile

We saw this temple on our second day of temple exploration having purchased a 3 day pass. We had done the small circuit on our first day stopping at the bigger temples so chose to do the big circuit on our second day. This is a lovely little temple and has features similar to both bayon and Ta Prohm. Comparing one temple to two of the big hitters should say it all really! This is a lovely place, less crowded than the bigger temples and a beautiful temple.

“small temple, lovely carvings”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

you will not spend a lot of time in this temple but the main gallery is really really nice, well maintained and not too many visitors. ideal to relax and take your time exploring the very visible carvings

“Small temple between Neak Pean and East Mabon”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

A rather small temple with attractive entrances (Gopura) one of which is covered by a large tree making for an interesting photo opportunity. Not much else to recommend but worth stopping to take a look.

“Exceptional carvings and the famous photo shot”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

I love this small classic Bayon- style monastic complex, consisting of a flat enclosure, face tower gopuras and interior sanctuaries. Its very much like a miniature Ta Prohm. many of the carvings are in good condition and display fine craftsmanship in the execution of this 12th centuary structure.
take special note of the devata carvings which show an individuality not common in other temples. A huge tree grows from the top of the eastern gopura, which is destroying the gate but has the punters queued to take prized photos. It is a photo classic, best photographed in the afternoon with dappled shadow and light.... and less people. Ta Som is the most distant temple on the Grand Circuit and is worthy of a lengthy viewing.

“Nice Buddhist temple”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

A Buddhist temple built by Jayavarman VII, the King Builder, north of Eastern Baray.
This is really worth a visit, with great photo spots, especially the big tree overwhelming the eastern gopura.
Lovely apsaras can be found carved in great details, and if you love apsaras, you will love this place.
