This is a bit belated, but wanted to leave a review for Siddharta. This is not an Anan, or the Park Hyatt. Be realistic. If you want a place like that, this is not the place for you. But if you want a nice boutique hotel, with good service, good food, in a convenient location to Angkor, this is a great bet. It is reasonably priced, clean, with surprisingly good food and excellent croissants. I'd go back just for the croissants. The tuk-tuk driver that comes with the room was great for us (2 girls in their 20's) and took great care of us with water, etc the whole time. The pool is excellent, and the lime juice is delicious. The receptionists helped us to book a car to Battambang. No, there is not luxury shampoo or absolutely no bugs (come on, it's Cambodia). However, it's charming, clean, and nicely out of the noisy part of Siem Reap.

We spent three days at the Siddharta and were really happy there. Our room on the ground floor was a very good size, comfortable and pleasantly furnished. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower area. I particularly liked the terrace in front of our room with a couple of loungers, a suspended chair, fan and lights which made a lovely sitting area. There is a pleasant open sided restaurant and bar on the top floor. Breakfast buffet was good with enough choice, and the chef was happy to cook up anything we wanted that wasn't on the buffet that morning (a lovely plate of french toast in my case. The dinner menu was great with several vegetarian choices. You can have lunch in the restaurant or served poolside. The pool is just lovely surrounded by beautiful planting. What a lovely place to cool down and refresh after visits to the temples at Angkor. The hotel is situated just a very short drive from Angkor, which makes it really convenient for early morning visits. It is set in a quiet area some way out of Siem Reap but there are always tuk tuks outside which will take you into town. The hotel staff deserve a special mention. All absolutely lovely and give the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Strongly recommended.

This is not a boutique hotel, but a typical tourist hotel in a tiouristy area as is Siem Reap.
You get a lot of noise from everywhere (adjacent rooms, corridors) - use earplugs.
Not a very good service - they don´t understand what you ask for, make many mistakes.
We had two rooms, but the first day were given just one tuk-tuk (which is included in the price), ordered a dish with chicken, but got noi chicken in it, etc. Female receptionists seemed to b much more professional than males.
The hotel is rather shabby, it is ot a good value for money.
The worst breakfast on our Vietnam - Cambodia trip.
Very good location to go to Angkor Vat.

I wish to add to the other reviews that this hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in hotels all over the world. I didn't expect such a nice place in Cambodia. The room is quite large, especially when compared to European hotels. The bathroom is almost as large as some of the German hotel rooms. Very good service from the staff, friendly and always a sincere smile. Great breakfast in a beautiful rooftop open air restaurant. Our included tuktuk driver is very helpful recommending things to see and places to visit. I recommend this hotel very highly.

From the moment we arrived until we said goodbye to our superb tuk tuk driver Mr Theu everything was faultless. The hotel is ideally situated away from town to be quiet but close enough with a free driver to be convenient. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is a welcome sight after a long day visiting temples. What makes this a truly exceptional hotel is the human factor. All the staff, from manager to cleaning staff are simply the finest we have ever encountered.
