Owner description: Some may find it over-powering, but if you're looking for where everybody is, then Pub Street it is. Lined with restaurants and bars selling cheap beer and reasonable food. Later on, the music starts thumping and there's often almost a party atmosphere. People watching is free.

Siem Reap was small city, so there was not to see in the city. But this place was very exciting and many foreigner visited and ate meal. Many restaurant was operating and very vital. I and my son visited there for dinner, and we enjoyed this mood in Pub street. If you stay in Siem Reap, must visit and enjoy. good landmark.

“Just a place to drink”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Its just a place full of of bars and pubs and restaurants. Try some of the places for authentic Khmer cuisine. A lot of them play music, which, more often than not, is too loud. If you want to just relax with a couple of beers after a long day of walking, then fine. Some though take it too far and get drunk.
Ask yourself this, have you really traveled thousands of kilometres to go to one of the most exotic places on earth to spend time in a generic pub?

“Shame on the drunken idiot tourists”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

It made me feel appalled to be a westerner when I see crowded bars with such loud music......why do tourists gather in great numbers in these places......in a few years it will be spoilt more. The beautiful innocent Cambodian people, play it just as tourists want it.
It is as others have said, lovely by day and horrendous at night. Great to go around the markets and shops.......but then you get the young idiots at night, it just encourages bad ways with local people. Please just respect this country before it's spoilt. I wouldn't drink there at night.

“Take a walk, get a drink, soak up the atmosphere”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Pub Street is like all pub/nightclub areas all around the world. It can get noisy, crowded, dirty and I suspect at 2am, pretty yuk.

However, you can't visit Siem Reap and not go to Pub Street. In the centre of town, in the centre of the nightlife, you at least need to take a walk, grab a beer and enjoy the atmosphere.

There are some decent places to eat and drink but I would recommend walking down one of the many fun, busy streets around Pub Street for dinner and a fun night.

“Careful with the children ”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

The street is very lively and busy with lots of tourists enjoying cheap beer. You will be approached by young children holding in their arms their even younger siblings. They will come to you and ask you to buy milk for their young brother /sister. If you agree to do so they will take you to the near by supermarket and ask you to buy expensive powder milk. Don't do it! This is then going to their exploiters, whom will sell it for cash. It is a scam and it harms the children. There are some posters around alerting people about the scam, but they don't last long as they would damage the 'business '.
