After staying at Motherhome Guesthouse before, I was expecting the same kind of eperience at the Inn. There were no rooms available at the Guesthouse. My requirements for a room are simple. quiet room, comfortable bed and a warm shower. The room, number 212 was terribly noisy throughout the day. Banging noises from all sides of the room, the sounds of the doors opening and closing, stomping noises, smoking balcony door opening and closing, all echoing around the room and passage. Initially intending to stay 3 nights, I couldnt wait to check out after the first night. I would have been out sooner if possible. I was startled from sleeping 5 or 6 times throughout the night. The whole 10pm to 7am silence policy would be amazing if it were true. The service is of a really really high standard. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom might annoy some because the shower is on one side of the curtain but you need to stand on the opposite side of the curtain so you don't wet everything in the bathroom. Very weird. If loud noises in the room do not bother you, its actually a really nice clean well run hotel. THe pool is a nice temperature for cooling down at the end of the day.

We had a lovely stay at Motherhome Inn. From booking and pre-arrival enquiries we found the hotel and its staff to be warm, friendly, helpful and efficient.
Airport pick up in a tuk tuk was waiting for us and we were quickly at the hotel. The hotel staff greeted us with a welcome drink and a cold towel which was really nice. We were then taken to our room. We stayed in room 312 overlooking the pool. The room was a good size, very clean and the bathroom was excellent too.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good and as usual staff were excellent. We also had dinner on the first night which was very good although we were the only ones dining so it was a bit quiet.
The swimming pool area is really lovely. We enjoyed cooling down here with a cocktail and a dip in the water after a days sight seeing
The staff at the hotel are ever attentive and have good English language too which makes conversation pleasant.
In addition to the hotel booking the Manager helped me arrange flights on the new Cambodian Angkor Air route as the airline were having issues accepting bookings from abroad. The hotel also helped by booking my bus to Phnom Penh and guide for Angkor -all of which worked without a hitch.
The hotel is only a 10 minute at most to town or you can take a very cheap tuk tuc. About two thirds of the way in to town there is a Canadia Bank with inside and outside ATMs. This bank has no charge for withdrawals from ATMs and the staff inside were also very helpful changing money to smaller notes.
I would stay here again in an instant.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Motherhome, our prompt pick up from the airport made our arrival so much easier. Inn is only 15 minutes from City Centre too which is handy. Lovely swimming pool and plenty of loungers. Food fantastic, we ate in the Motherhome on several nights too and a very good menu. Discounted drinks on an evening too. Motherhome Inn is exceptionally clean in all areas. we loved the cold flannels presented to us everytime we came back in from a trip. The staff in all areas of the Motherhome could not have been more obliging. We will certainly be back. We are older citizens.

Room Tip: we had a room on 4th floor over looking the pool which was pretty quiet

We loved the place. It was clean, service was excellent, the pool was fantastic after a long day of touring and the buffet breakfast was incredible! Koy Kimyonn in the dining room gives customer service new meaning and a vibrant energy! You will not regret staying there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.

The hotel is nice and the pool are is great but i organised pickup from bus station on arrival (they organised bus tickets) they wernt there to pick us up so we called.. they said they would send driver... 20 minutes later called they said driver was at wrong bus station... 30 mins later its pitch black everyone has long since left the bus station and the mosquitos are eating us alive and finally tuk tuk picks us up.

When the time came to leave we bought a bus ticket from hotel to poipet as we had heard lots of scams going back to bangkok we thought the hotel would care about it reputation enough to use the best of the dodgy companies. Got picked up in a minivan already full so had to squat, drove just out of town to a dirt road where we got pushed into an ancient school type bus with luggage piled up the ceiling in front and back. The unlucky last few passangers didnt have any seats and had to squeeze in next to luggage. 20 mins into the 2 hour bus journey we stopped for a "break" at a tat store for half an hour... when hardly anyone got off the bus the driver came on to tell everyone we only stop once get out and buy things... half an hour later we stopped again... then we stopped for half an hour lunch brake 10km's from the border. We finally made it the border 5 hours later in the middle of peak time and didnt get through the border until 3 hours later because of this... all in all turned a 2 hour trip into an 8 hour ordeal.... i feel most sorry for the rest of the bus that was relying on the company all the way to bangkok.

Corruption and dishonesty doesnt lead to any long term gain and the hotel probably uses this company for the highest kickbacks and it should not be supported
