“Relaxing hotel and great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014 via mobile

We emailed the hotel asking if they could pick us up from the airport, our tuk tuk driver picked us up with no problems. We were welcomed with a small cocktail/juice and some refreshing cold towels. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, large and we had a window overlooking the pool.

We also booked our tuk tuk driver for 3 days at the temple through the hotel, which was fairly cheap and our tuk tuk driver was efficient and friendly.

All the staff are friendly, especially the bar and restaurant staff and one of the supervisors! The food here is also good quality food and probably quite a bit better than you will find on Pub Street, but more expensive! Both western and cambodian, my boyfriend recommends the chicken cordon blue and I definitely recommend the motherhome inn curry!

Would recommend Motherhome Inn to everyone and would definitely stop there again.

A great little place, with fantastic staff, excellent tuk tuk`s, and great food in the restaurant all very reasonably priced. We spent 9 nights here in February and enjoyed the place so much that we have already been in touch with Kim Leang (The owner) to book a room for 3 nights next year before we visit the beach and then for a further 3 nights on our return, and as usual he responds to all enquires almost immediately. All in all great value for money !

Great hotel for the price. You get a spa, a swimming pool and a good value tuktuk service (much cheaper than street prices).
Service can be an issue: never any towel by the pool, clueless restaurant waiters and chattering masseuses (between them, in Cambodian, while you try to relax). All together a pleasant experience but:
-As of Feb 2014 there were works on both sides of the hotel so very noisy from early in the morning;
-the Aspara show then send you to is located in a giant hall full of coachloads of noisy Chinese and Korean more interested in the buffet than the show. Go somewhere else!
-someone (cleaning staff?) walked with $300 of our dollars. They were at all times either on me or in the safe so I'm not sure how they did it. Basically they took all the big notes and left the small one so we did not notice immediately that our bundle of cash had been raided. Management was more than dismissive when informed. Lesson learned for me about hotel safes but not happy at all!

Thank you very much for all value comments
All comments are very important for us to keep taking care our hotel services and reputation,

Regarding to your comments about the money has been stolen by someone of our hotel staff or...
If I were you, I will not leaving the hotel before I settled down everything with the hotel about my money if I found any single cent of my money have been stolen by the hotel staffs from my room safety box,
you should inform us about the money when you are in our hotel, but we are not sure why you just informed us and asking us about the stolen money just weeks after you left our hotel,

It’s hard to believe that someone of our staffs can access your password of your safety box while you still staying with us in the hotel because our safety box master key are not with any of the simple staffs, but the master key are with our hotel general manager only,
If (in case) guests are forgetting their password for the safety box, when we open the safety box for our guest, we requested to have:
1-Guest to acknowledge when we open.
2. House Keeping Manager
3-Front Office Manager or Assistant.
4-Security to recodes: time, date of opening the safety box come along with the guest signature and head departments acknowledgement)
-----------------------------
Aspara Dancing Show and Buffet Dinner :We have cooperated with the outside restaurant which we believe that they got an excellence buffet dinner and cultural show.
We charge only US$10 per person included : Apsara Dancing Show + Buffet Dinner + 2 ways Transportation from hotel to the restaurant and come back to the hotel,
We worked with this restaurant over 5 years, Our guests mostly are happy with what they had paid, of course the restaurant are open for everyone in the world included Chinese and Korean or more..., not just only for your people,

Once again, we appreciated to your comments,
MotherHome and all its staffs are still looking forward to have another chance to serve you,

My friend and I stayed here for a week while touring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. It was recommended to us by a fellow traveler, and it ended up being a great choice. Very affordable rates and fantastic service / facilities. The room was comfortable, the pool clean and nice, and the location is good. We rented bicycles at the small shop outside and cycled to the ruins every day (only a couple miles of easy riding away). Highly recommended.

Positives
+ Large enough rooms with comfortable beds.
+ Extremely friendly and helpful staff, that would go out of their way to assist you
+ Breakfast for a small sized hotel like the Motherhome is actually amazing. We also ate at the restaurant almost every night, as the food was so delicious and nicely priced! Highly recommend the mother home curry!

Negatives
- Extremely awkward shower. There is no separate shower area, it's just in the bathroom. So everything gets wet after having a shower!

Overall, I would definitely stay here next time I visit Siem Reap!

We spend here few days after Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville and it was the best hotel in Cambodia where we have been. So if you are planning trip to Siem Reap this hotel is the best choice ! The staff was really friendly and helped us with everything. The location of hotel is near to the airport and sightseeings.
