Ok so this is the cheapest place I've stayed - for 2 of us for 5 nights it was £29 - and the nicest, most friendliest I've ever been to.

If your not a flashpacker but do enjoy cleanliness and a house full of smiles this is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the centre and a complimentary tuk tuk service. I could easily have stayed longer. Good food, good beer, great service. $1/ kilo of laundry and its hung out on the line to dry which I love - instead of the dirty dryer stench.

Simply perfect :-)

The Dancing Frog is one of the best places we have stayed throughout our trip and also one of the cheapest.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and are serviced daily.
It has a great location, close to Pub Street, markets etc but it is not noisy.
The guesthouse also has a restaurant out the front. Food is cheap and delicious and the beer is cold.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They genuinely want to make sure that you bet a fair deal with tuk tuk drivers and will organise trips to Angkor for you.
I would highly recommend staying here.

Dancing frog was an enjoyable stay. The owner Ali and the staff were excellent. It was so convienient that walking to downtown was only 5 minutes. It will save you a lot in tuk tuk and motorcyle fees. The food was excellent, specially the fried rice and chicken. Rooms were clean, breakfasts cheap, and laundry service on site. I had stayed at Hak's guesthouse, and this is by far the better of the two. The location is just worth it and saving money on transportation you can use towards an A/C room! 5 stars from me.

Room Tip: Get a room with a window for more air if you get a fan room.

This was our favourite hostel we stayed at of our trip! Located on a quiet street with no traffic noise but very close to Pub Street and markets. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable and the owner Gilles and his staff were fantastic, organised and recommended tuk tuk drivers and things to do in Siem Reap. Would definitely stay again!

Great place! 2 minute walk from pub street (which is clearly most important). Gilles is the best host and always good to have a chat with. Definitely try the breakfast there as the omlettes are the ideal way to start off the day. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Siem Reap. Thanks Gilles.

After traveling around SE asia and staying in many types of hostels, guesthouses and hotels, The Dancing Frog was a wonderful exception to the rule. The place itself and the room was very clean, staff attentive, the room very generous in size with furniture to accommodate travel & luggage needs. The location of the hostel is also fantastic, just up the street from the main road, but quiet and with little traffic, but so close to everything you could need. The host was welcoming, and very attentive to answer questions and provide information, as well as personalised and reliable tuk tuk drivers. If anything, the "upgrades" to the old hotel have been DIY, but really some messy paint or visible plaster is the last worry on my mind when staying somewhere! This place will only improve and we would stay again no doubt!

Room Tip: we stayed on the entry level floor just by the stairs, never noticed another guest or noise. The win...
