“Best hotel I had in Siem reap ”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

We stayed in Siem reap 9 days and tried 4 hotels.
Moon boutique was the best.
Clean, considerate service without disturbing u, food is restaurant quality, plants around the pool are well taken care, price the lowest among the four hotels I stayed.
When staff entered our room carrying our luggage or serving food, they took off shoes! Rarely seen here! Siem reap is dusty and after rain every road turned messy. I really appreciate this.

We booked this small hotel as we do not like places with hundreds of rooms and the reviews were mostly positive.

Despite being a little way out of town, the free tuk tuk service more than compensated. This service is fantastic and takes away all the bartering with tuk tuk drivers. With the free mobile provided you just call them when you are ready to come home and tell them where you are. Ten minutes later you are on you way home.

The staff are excellent and always ready to help.

We had a room right beside the pool #9.
Rooms 6 through 12 have the best view of the pool but you have to look through the tropical garden which also provides privacy to your own verandah area. The rooms are LARGE based on our travel experiences.

Restaurant food and service was good, in fact better than some of the places we tried in town.

We stayed four nights and found the peace and quiet relaxing.

They organise tours and tickets too.

Would definitely stay again if we return to Siem Reap.

Punctual pickup from the airport in a tuk tuk. Great fun. The location seemed a little remote to start with but we soon understood the geography and what a good choice we had made. Rooms are set around the pool, they have a little terrace but no privacy. Our room was large, a little spartan and needed another chair or armchair. Mosquito control was good. It had a large and relaxing bathroom. The deal included minibar and washing which worked well. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was remarkably good, better than the downtown restaurants that are recommended. The tuk tuk service into town functioned well. They arranged the all day tuk tuk efficiently. After the heat and the crowds at the ruins it was great to return to that oasis. Staff were great fun, very pleasant and very accommodating.
One negative. They arranged a driver that they said they knew to take us to Phnom Penh. Terrible experience of poor vehicle and bad driving.
But it is a great place to stay.

One of the best hotels we stayed in in South-east Asia. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Good value for money.
Location is further from the centre of Siem Reap, but since we ate every night at the hotel, this was no problem. Free airport pickup/dropoff provided together with laptop and mobile phone were very nice extras.

We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. Being away from the centre of town it was nice and quiet but it was easy and cheap, to get a tuk tuk to travel around as required.

The room was large, clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. The grounds were lush although compact and the pool was a delight. We ate there two or three nights and the meals were quite good.

The staff from the managers to the cleaners were very helpful, friendly & informative. A lot of the reception and wait staff were young and were happy to talk, quite possibly, in part to practice their English skills. But that was really nice way to learn about them and their country.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We stayed for four nights from 12th to 16th of May 2014.
This was one of the best places I have stayed in.
The experience was made so much more memorable by the polite staff. I almost reduced one star because of the language issues which did cause problems in service as it was very hard to get exactly what we wanted. However that would be unfair to the staff. The owners probably need to give some attention to this. The location is a little out of the way with the last stretch being an unpaved bumpy dirt track. The hotel compensates with a free Tuk Tuk ride to and from the town centre. They even give you a local mobile phone to call them when done. Nice! Siem Reap anyways is small enough to get around in 5-10 minutes.
However the location is not recommended for people with bad backs or mobility issues as the ride can be uncomfortably bumpy.
Highly recommended hotel for people who want a quiet and comfortable stay. It has a decent size, spotlessly clean pool surrounded by lush green vegetation. The in house Spa gives a great deal on massages. The foot reflexology massage is highly recommended and just what you need after a day around the temples.
Would be recommending this to my friends.
