“We can't wait to go back!”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

We booked for 3 night but ended up tying 5 and were vey sad to leave! Mr. Why Not and his lovely family became our second family and we were even lucky enough to be invited by the family to join them on a day out to a waterfall where they spoilt us rotten and would not let us pay for anything! Nothing is too much trouble at Angkor Wonder, you are made to feel welcome, looked after, safe and very much at home! He is the font of all knowledge in Siem Reap and will organise everything for you without even considering taking a cut or making a profit! There is no pushy sell, just genuine hospitality and helpfulness... The rooms and beds are big and clean and good value for money and the location is perfect- 3 minutes walk from everywhere! We can't wait to go back to visit our Cambodian family!

We fell in love with Cambodia, this place and this family. Very friendly atmosphere. Mr Why not is a great owner, his wife is an excellent hostess and a very beautiful woman, their kids are so lucky. 'Love is in the air'. Thanks for this holiday

Stayed here for three nights with Mr. Why Not. He was quick to reply to my emails and even arranged for his driver, Andy, to greet me at the airport. I was invited to the farm for fishing, eating, and watching the incredible sunset while enjoying a couple of cold Angkors. Booking temple tours was a breeze; Mr. Why Not and his friendly staff took care of everything. Rooms are basic but all you need if you plan on spending your days exploring.

This place is run by "Mr Why Not" and his family and all of them are doing their best to make you feel at home. Mr Why Not takes care of all his guests and helped us to organize great trips to Angkor Wat and the Floating village and even took us on a fishing trip. It is well-located a 5-minute walk away from the pub-street and definitely great value.

I had a great time staying here. Mr Whynot the owner and his family are all really personable and helpful. For example, one morning I had to go to the hospital early and the young brother brought me in his tuktuk and waited for me and he didn't even expect payment. They were a great introduction to the kind and welcoming nature of most Cambodians. I intended to stay here just for one night but ending up spending a week. It's cheap, chilled out and the location is very good. It's a bit hard to find from the street since the name isn't displayed prominently and all of my guides had trouble finding it so make sure you know where you're going at first.

Excellent quality for the price, simple and clean, very good location close to the restaurants local and touristics, and to bars (pub street) to do everything by walk, and however quiet.

Why I will advice my friends to go there is above all the quality of service of the staff, especially the owner, Mr "why not", who will do everything he can to help you with honesty, and that helps a lot, when you are in another country with diff language and culture... Example: I needed help to find a transportation to the border of Thailand in the north of SR, which is not usually used by tourists. People advised me not to do that by Mr why not found me the way safely...

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Excellent value for money as the place is clean and the owner is extremely hospital. They have a board where you can tell about your willingess to share a tuktuk to Angor Wat but me and my friend didn't find any company. I recommend to stay here!
