“Boutique - if a caravan is a country manor house!!”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

Down a very scruffy, dusty and bumpy road to this scary hotel... Please only use as a one night stop-over if you arrive late to the airport..then move to a real boutique hotel such as Shinta Mani Club (real luxury hotel). Only good thing I can say is the breakfast was ok and the staff are friendly.

Room Tip: Pick a room in a different hotel is my advice.

This hotel has lots of character, with excellent service by a truly friendly staff. The pool and garden are are particularly nice. The location is a problem: you need a 2 dollar tuk tuk ride to get in and out of town; and the hotel is located in a rougher area down a dirt road. Consistent hot water was also a problem.

I have a feeling alot of these reviews are false. The hotel is not located close to the centre, the rooms look nothing like what i seen on the web. Although the hotel is not terriable, its not worth the price, as other hotels more central offering better prices and better rooms.

I wait them to pick me up at Mekong bus express station for more than 1hour, until midnight. Until I can't wait anymore and spend 5dollar to take other tuk tuk to the hotel. The hotel is far from the town. And the breakfast is not buffet style. Inside the picture, it look large, but actually it's not that big. Not worth for the money. And I need to spend 2dollar everyday to go to the town. But the staff is friendly. Overall I feel so disappointed about it.

Arrived at the hotel to be taken to a 3rd floor room, where the air-conditioner had no diffuser, and it took well over an hour to cool the room. Staircase was dirty, tiles needed cleaning, toilet had stains in the porcelain. Shower took about 10 minutes to finally get some lukewarm water. Bed was extremely hard, and with no diffuser on the air-conditioning you either got blasted with cold air, or turned it off and sweltered. The hotel seems to mainly cater for the Chinese Tourist market, so don't expect a restful few days there. First night they arrived with all of the noise of an invading army at about 2.00 am. Next morning they are noisily up at about 6.30 am, off to raid the breakfast. Even though I had a table for four people (as three friends were to join me for breakfast), there was no way to prevent them just to sit down and start eating, the staff just look on and ignore them. Luckily another table was vacant when my friends arrived, so we could have our breakfast, which could do with some major improvements. This early morning/late night happened for the four nights I was there. Room was serviced twice, bar kept running out of various drinks, dinner and lunch menu never varied, neither did the breakfast.
The only saving grace here is some of the staff who try and do their best with an inadequate product. There are far better places in Siem Reap, so do not let the Boutique in the name fool you as it did me - Budget at best.

Stayed here for 3 nights earlier this month. The rooms were great and the staff were really helpful with our queries. We had them arrange a little tour for the temples and they were happy to help. The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and quite affordable as well. Would definitely return next time I'm we're in town.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rooms above the dining room, with the balcony. A great outdoor flow.

Comfy hotel and quiet, a bit far from market and restaurant. Need tuk tuk to head to the main street of the city (USD2 the ride one way). Need to book the free bicycle at the reception. Helpful and very kind personal. Nice swimming pool. Bring your soap and shampoo.
