“Good value for the money!”
Reviewed 13 November 2013 via mobile

Staff was very friendly. Good location. It could be tidier but for the money we paid this was extremely good deal! We can certainly recommend Im Malis if you are visiting Siem Reap for a few nights. Btw, you can book a tuk tuk tour to see Angkor temples as we did and we were very satisfied.

We stayed in IM Malis between Nov 5 to 8, 2013, as the other hotel we had booked thro' Agoda(Trip advisor) closed for renovation and they transferred our booking to this hotel. The GM Savun Chon responded to our mail promptly, arranged free pick up and also a good room in first floor as both me and my wife are senior citizens. Room was clean, just sufficient space, AC, Internet and Bath room were good. Limited but sufficient breakfast( No choice for us because we are strict vegetarians), they also packed toasts for us when asked for. Savun, Prasna, among the staff were notably helpful and helped us to have a good sight seeing everyday. Tuk Tuk driver RATHA was always smiling, helpful and showed us around safely including Kbal Spean which is far away from Siem Reap. Close to Pub Street and Night Market, the hotel certainly is value for money. They replaced towels every day and provided bottled water free. We have already recommended this hotel and Tuk Tuk driver to my son and would certainly will go there again to stay. The Stay was really comfortable and enjoyable.

Room Tip: Hotel do not have lift. If you are aged/have problems write to them early for lower floor rooms. Exc...

I stayed in this hotel in May,2013 for my vacation to Cambodia. The location of this hotel is excellent. Within 5/7 minutes walk and you are in the PUB STREET of the Siem Reap. The staffs are very friendly. The money I paid is unbelievable.64$ for nights with breakfast. The room is good may not be very big but with all required amenities. The toilet is clean and big.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR BUDGET TRAVELERS.

Stayed for 7 nights there and overall has a good experience there. Faced a little problem with the electricity during the first night there but can see the effort of the staffs in trying very hard to solve the problem.

Staffs there were really friendly and kind :) They have room service twice a day and was really happy that our room is in a clean and tidy state when we reach back everyday. Staffs greet us everytime and tried their best in fulfilling all our request.

Breakfast was nice, didnt get bored of it even though its almost the same everyday. :) Staff there were really kind enough to cook us breakfast before the breakfast time at 7am before we depart for airport on the last day.

Basically all basic facilities are good, with water heater, air conditioner and Wi-Fi.

Good place to stay!

i would like to say, all the staffs there are polite and friendly.
However, many things i felt unsatisfied during our 4-night stay here:
i) it's actually 3-night stay, as the first night the whole hotel was black out, luckily we managed to meet the owner who transferred us to a hotel nearby, so that we can take shower and have a good rest. No electricity here means no water supply too, due to the pumping system. So, i'm quite doubted a 3-star hotel does not have own generator, since the electricity supply is often disrupted.
ii) booking through Agoda.com, where the hotel stated that the early check-in starts from 8:30 am. However, the staff denied that and asked us to wait at lobby. Due to the tiredness staying at airport overnight, we became a bit annoyed and after we insisting, they managed to let us stay at the two rooms at ground floor
iii) we can hear the voices and laughters and musics from outside, luckily it's okay during sleeping time
iv) it's the first time i stayed in a hotel having room service twice a day. i would like to appreciate that, but i just felt disgust when the staff folded my wet towel and placed on the bed. there was once i requested for a new towel and the staff sent over a dirty one! Fine!
v) the breakfast choice is basically only one type, a bit disappointed as i knew even a guesthouse provide a variety of breakfast. Moreover, the chef will only start working at 7am, they turn down our request for packing of breakfast during the day we going to see sunrise. and this was also criticized by my driver too...

Room Tip: do not choose the rooms at ground floor, it's very very noisy!

It's my first trip to Cambodia with two of my friends. Initially, we looked for a hotel on line and booked for a twin bed. Then a friend of ours decided to join and we had to adjust our room and upgrade to a triple room. Mr. Savun Chon, the General Manager was very kind enough to accommodate our request and reserved this on line without any hassle. Upon our arrival to the hotel, the staff are very warm and they can speak english too. Our room had everything, a bathtub, hot and cold water plus complimentary mineral water everyday. Fresh linens and towels everyday. The hotel price is so affordable, it only cost us a total of $120.00 for 4nights and 5days stay, how cool is that!! Our stay is completely worth it! - free WIFI, complimentary breakfast, pick up and drop off to and from the airport. Our tuk-tuk driver, Mr. Thuy is the most kind and reliable driver. It was nice to meet Mr. Savun Chon who is so patient and helpful in everything we need. We will definitely go back to Im Malis Hotel.

We had two rooms for three people in the 1st floor. The rooms were clean, if a bit outdated and stuffy, but still good value for the money we paid. My room did not have hot water, but I didn't mind (and didn't place a complaint about it either), whereas my friend's room had good hot water supply. AC was working nicely and was quiet. There was complementary water in the room everyday. Free airport transfer was great and we ended up hiring the same tuk-tuk driver for the Angkor Wat tour next day and for another tour in the countryside the following day. Price they quoted for the tour was reasonable.

The location of the hotel is very convenient: not too far from the Pub Street, but still off the main road so noise level is low.

But the best thing about this hotel was the extremely friendly staff - they were sincerely helpful and friendly with good tips about where to go and what to do. I have never had such a good service in any of the low-priced hotels/guesthouses I've stayed in South East Asia.

All in all very pleasant stay and highly recommended for budget-minded people.
