“Great for kids if you have extra time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Not a place to go if time is limited in Siem reap. But if you're here for a week and the kids need to play, it's perfect. Try not to eat the burgers though. The cattle industry is Asia is destroying the forests.

“What a concept!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

This is the crazy, fun sort of business that clever people can create in Cambodia. A place that combines great quality food with fun for the kids. There is so much to do here for the children, one visit is not enough. They have a cinema room, but our children (3 under 12 years) just played the whole time, both times we visited.
We did have some trouble finding it in the dark the first time we went as it did seem to be a fair way down an unsealed road, and the sign wasn't lit at night. If you can't seem to find it in the dark, don't give up! It's worth visiting- more than once!

“Burgers and Amoks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

This place is a little out of town. Saying that, it's on a quiet street with plenty of lush greenery. A nice chill place with wonderful food. My husband had the blue cheese burger with chips. He was still raving about it after 3 days. I had the Fish amok which was fresh and delicious.

“Good western food, relaxed surroundings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

This place is a little out of town, but so were we, so it was only a couple of minutes walk from our hotel. It was a dark and drizzly night, so we didn't want to go out, and JJ looked like just the sort of western comfort food we needed after a dozen amoks.

To be honest it was too dark to get an impression of the whole place, but I imagine it is quite expansive. We were led up to a cozy upstairs balcony with it's own little bar. We were the only customers, so all staff's eyes were on us - friendly and attentive, but it made me a little self conscious. We suggested they could just chill out and put some music on, so they relaxed a little and played an entire Crowded House album on repeat. At this point I realized there must be some Kiwi connection to the place - a NZ flag behind the bar, rugby memorabilia, NZ beer on the menu - but when I asked one of the staff, their English wasn't good enough to understand my question.

The burgers were enormous and tasty (and came with a free beer!), but of special note were the hand-cut chips - so good. Drinks (at least draft beers) were dirt cheap and served in icy glasses.

Although we felt a little under the spotlight being the only ones there, we were happy there were no rowdy kids around, and a large group of French turned up a bit later. I can imagine when this place is busy it would be a really fun and lively place to spend the afternoon drinking and evening eating. I would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone.
