Stayed at Apsara Centrepole Hotel for 3 days in January 2013. My friend accidentally booked this one, without looking at the address. Since it was prepaid we decided to try it. Yes, the location is great. Walking distance to the Night Markets and Pub Street. The staff are service oriented and always willing to try and help. However, the rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment. Floors, walls, bathrooms, etc. all need some TLC. Next time I will pay more money to stay in a nicer place. Location really isn't an issue as tuk tuk drivers are abundant.

ok if your staying in siem reap this is the place to go. central yet quiet due to it's location down a backstreet. the staff were the incredible-efficient and very nice people. food awesome and hotel is new with quiet pool round back. just do it!!!! i was travelling for 6 weeks staying in many hotels and this was the best as it seemed to have every aspect completely dialled.

Just a stone's throw (25m) from the hustle and bustle of Pub Street, this newly refurbished colonial house is well hidden to provide a quiet respite. Beautiful and elegant in setting, the staff were also very helpful and proactive in meeting our needs. The pool is inviting as well as the well decorated room and balcony at the upper floors. We had a relaxing evening BBQ dinner in the hotel premise as the restaurant next door Haven was closed on Sundays. Truly one class above its boutique category and certainly worth a repeat visit!

I couldn't fault this hotel. The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful in organising trips and tuk-tuks and the room (an upstairs twin) and ensuite were lovely. Great breakfast too. Centrally located, but enough on the edge of things to be quiet at night.

I would definitely stay here again.

We didn't stay, but camped out at the pool and restaurant most nights; excellent service and beautiful cocktails. Everything was 50% off so amazing good value, but only for a limited time as part of their launch.

The only things I have personally appreciated in this hotel, is the location and the staff. Great staff, from the staff at the reception to waiters in the outdoor restaurant. I have really appreciated each and every one of them.

From the hotel point of view, well, I would say that it's an old hotel that was refurbished to the best that they possibly could. It's certainly not breathtaking, nor fantastic, but good enough. On the other hand, it does not justify the price. But hey, it's Siem Reap, the real estate is going crazy over there, but the service and the culture is not following.

I personally appreciated the original wooden floor in the rooms and the old tiles in the corridor. I would not say it's great value for money, but it will be quite challenging to find a better deal in the city. You will certainly find cheaper, much cheaper if you like, but this will take a hit on your the comfort and quality.

Would I stay again if I ever go back again? hummm ... Maybe.
Well, the staff, will certainly compensate for all the small things that you might not like.

Hope this help.

Dr. MAK.

Quality/price wise, this is probably the best hotel I've ever been to. Only this sentence should be enough to explain my feelings towards the hotel and the team that run it.

But I'll tell you something more: the hotel is basically new, rooms are clean and modern, with AC, flat TV screen, comfortable, large beds, shower that works... A boutique 4-star superior (at least) if you evaluate it comparing to western standards.

The structure is a 4-star superior, but the staff... 7-star? So welcoming, so kind, so gentle... no western standard applies. Just wonderful. The team leaded by Mr. Chen Sopharith makes a true difference.

Moreover, the hotel 2-min away from downtown, yet, on a quite calm street. The swimming pool, the cocktails... perfect mix between the excursions, activities and finding such even upon return to the hotel.

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms a bit quieter.
