What else to say ? Food (Breakfast, lunch dinner) is very good. Service is flawless. Rooms are nice and so clean. Every attention is brought to you (daily small gifts in your room..). The swimming pool is gorgeous. The park beautiful. The SPA (Showers, sauna and steaming rooms) remained at our disposal the last day as we left late in the afternoon. They provided us with lockers, towels, slippers, bathdresses... People are really nice. Nevertheless I think the beverages are overpriced at the pool.

I have been a few times to Siem Reap and stay in different hotels. But if you want to be in an amazing surrounding, large pool, large garden, beautifull room ( I stay this time in a large Deluxe Room) this is the place to stay. Very good service attentive to your needs. Hotel on the way to temples, one step away of the noisy citer center ( this has not improved city loosing some charms). I do like the hotel. Good place for a long weekend.

Had a relaxing 2 nite stay at Sofitel - got great rate with prepaid rate. For Sofitel Advantage card members, there's 50% off meals which is good deal. We had the buffet in courtyard Fri nite and there was Apsara dance show. Great selection of Khmer food, international food and desserts. The grounds are large and swimming pool is great. Staff is friendly and landscaped gardens made it cooling to walk even in the afternoon heat. The Angkor Children;s Hosp set up by Swiss Dr is just down the road less than 5 mins walk - there is cello performance on Sat nites 7.15pm to help raise funds for this free hospital for children. There are sev massage places opp hotel . To go downtown, take 10min tuktuk ride for US$2 to pub street - nice ride in evenings/nites with breeze.

really nice grounds, decent service, great pool and close to the temples. we were upgraded which was nice, but the rooms are starting to look old. and to make it worse there were pigeons trapped in the ceiling, so they were moving around and flapping in the "attic". which sounded terrible.

food and drink here is EXPENSIVE, especially the morning breakfast. for that amoung of money i would've expected more.

for the money, i think there are likely better places in siem reap, but i can recommend the hotel with some reservations.

Very beautiful hotel, nice grounds with lakes and ponds. Best to get a room facing the pool or hotel grounds rather than outside. The location is absolutely perfect, very central to everything, yet still peaceful. It's away from the main road by a wide strip of grass, so it's as peaceful as can be. Nice big pool area, and spa nearby. The room was fine, no complaints. TV had lots of international channels including CNN, BBC, HBO etc. Food and service were of very high quality. There is a bar with a pianist at night. The lobby must have some scent pumped in, because it smells great in there, except when people are smoking in there... not sure why they allow smoking in that nice lobby to ruin it. The staff are all very friendly. Reasonably priced wifi in the room, but a little slow.

Near the hotel are a few nice souvenir shops and jewelry stores, including some high end jewelry. There were a few inexpensive restaurants nearby, but you're much better off at the Sofitel where the prices were reasonable for high quality food. A few minutes walk is the Children's Hospital, where you can donate blood for the children, and where on Saturday nights is a free concert and lecture about the hospital which is very worthwhile.

Angkor Wat is about 10 minutes away from the hotel, and is really worth the trip.
