Very nice luxury hotel in the center of town. It is an oasis of calm. Staff super friendly. Hotel food and services are expensive but it is up to you if you pay $4 to get your underwear washed or just take it donn the street where they charge $2 per kilo. If you watch out for some of those charges this is a very nice hotel and worth the room rates. Wifi free but flaky. Great breakfast with buffet and cook to order options.

Although well-seasoned travellers, this was our first experience of an Orient Express hotel. After long hot days visiting Angkor temples the Residence offered us peaceful respite around the poolside hub complemented by Angkorian artifacts. The wooden architectural styling and understated luxury together with friendly and efficient service made it an unforgettable 5 star experience that exceeded our high expectations. With a more natural reclining position, the bath was unlike any spa baths I've experienced. Although not cheap, the uncluttered boutique feel, the type of clientele, and the comfortable walking distance to the bustling Pub Street set it apart from the other larger quality hotels in Siem Reap. We loved it so much that we plan to return in the cooler season next year!

Room Tip: Riverview rooms made for interesting viewing

This was just the most beautiful hotel. The grounds, the pool, my room, the food. I just loved it all. From the minute you step through the door you feel as if you are back in the colonial days of Cambodia. The attention to detail is wonderful. The staff are friendly and courteous. Cambodia is hot even in March and the pool was a welcome respite prior to an afternoon rest in the most comfortable bed. A granite bathtub was pure luxury! I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I absolutely loved this hotel. A really beautiful 'low rise'  piece of paradise, lots of art and lovely authentically/Cambodian style rooms, wood floors and mosquito nets. The suites are large and more contemporary but still very impressive. We stayed with our children and the staff were wonderful and warm and obviously took great delight in them. The pool was shady and tranquil and the restaurant top class. Hotel location excellent, Siem Reap is a small delightful city, walking distance to markets and town or a $2 tuk tuk ride anywhere! Hotel provided all our water each day, and were very helpful when organizing our schedule and temple visits. The thing I loved most was that La Residence is not too big, 60 or so rooms, so had a real boutique feel to it, which made the stay there feel personal and homely whilst still being spoilt by the 5 star experience. I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel highly enough!

I cannot recommend La Resience d'Angkor enough! We just returned from a three week honeymoon in Asia and this was, by far, our favorite hotel. The staff was super attentive, the room was spacious and elegant (that bath tub!!!), and the salt water pool was so relaxing. We went for a couple night swims and had a blast. I would go back in a heart beat.
