“A memorable stay”
Reviewed 4 January 2014

We stayed at the Residence d''Angkor from the 7 th to the 14th of January and it was one of the most pleasurable stays we have ever had anywhere in the world.
We were 11 friends traveling together, all extremely seasoned and demanding travellers. We all thought the service was excellent . We had dinner at the hotel every night and the French G M could not have been more considerate and attentive to all our needs. Some were gluten free others had to follow different regimes. All our dietary needs were satisfied and on top of that the food was delicious and the menus inventive.
The rooms are roomy and ver comfortable, the bathroom also. Need more hangers though. Laundry was very efficient, the Spa very good and the items on sale at the shops truly greatly. Moreover if you needed something's that was not available the GM made sure to find it so that all your wishes could be satisfied.
We can not wait to go back

Only 10 minutes from night market, pub street, and services are excellent. The only bad about the hotel is in the shower, bath and bathroom. I do not know how to take a bath and there is no curtain , water can be all over the floor. Restaurant is expensive compare to outside and overall food is good. May be is New Year , so they charge a lot which all other hotel are fully booked.

From the moment we checked in, the GM as well as the Resident Manager welcomed us as if this were a private home, which to some extent it almost is, with only 60+ rooms.
We dined at the hotel for New Year's eve, the food was really good, and the staff was there, again, making us feel at home.
The pool is just a please if you are into real swimming an the rooms, although owkward in their bathroom layout are quite charming. I should say I feel sorry for the poor maid that has to mop the floor next to the shower/tub every day...
The only issue if you are kind of finicky about noise is that some rooms face the street which at some times might have some incidental noise. To me it was not an issue but to some it might be cumbersome.
All in all, this to me is the definition of a boutique hotel which was character and great service.

Room Tip: Try the almond croissants at the breakfast buffet. Hard to top!

We had a wonderful stay at the Residence D'Angkor Hotel. We went there to relax and unwind in combination with some cultural excursions. The rooms are very authentic and lovely, generous, huge bathtub and all one wants. Outstanding is the perfect service of the lovely staff, anywhere in the restaurant / bar, Room, at the pool and in the spa. We probably had the best coffee scrub and khmer massage of our lives... after that you walk out there ever so relaxed - exactly what we came for. The food is great and all services of the people working there outstanding. Whenever we wanted anything to be arranged it was immediately done. Thank you to all the people of the property for making us have an unforgettable journey to Cambodia!

Room Tip: The ones we have sen are all perfect and quiet.

Like an oasis close to the city centre, we entered this marvelous hotel over a small bridge and were received by the friendly and very service minded staff. All through our stay we enjoyed our lovely room, the beautiful surroundings and the large pool. We got perfect advice with respect to restaurants and guided tours and were pampered in the spa. The breakfast had everything you could ask for. Even though we have visited a number of high class hotels over the years this is certainly the best so far.

From the great pick-up at the airport, with drive by Angkor Wat en route to hotel, to the welcome, to the great pool side 2nd floor room, everything was wonderful. The spa has very good massage and friendly staff and the pool is beautiful and long enough for laps. There was a sumptuous Christmas Eve dinner, with free flowing wine and an amazing performance of Le Cirque Phare during the evening. Incredible acrobats, jugglers, and gymnasts .....made it harder than usual to focus on the series of wonderful degustation plates! And wonderful tours organized with local guides.....particularly Mao....fantastic! A stay to remember!!

Room Tip: Pools rooms nice and second floor has wonderful palms making them very private.
