We had a marvellous night at La residence d'Angkor's restaurant. The place is beautiful, the food is excellent, and most of all, the service is perfect! The best restaurant of the world tour we are just finishing...

We only stayed in Cambodia for three days but it was a magical experience. The hotel was spectacular, a tropical oasis with exceptional staff and food. I would heartily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Siem Reap.

We recently stayed at La Residence for 5 nights having previously spent 8 nights in Vietnam. This was our favourite hotel of the trip. It is ideally situated in the town and you can walk anywhere although there are always tuk-tuks available. Our room was beautiful with a huge bathroom. All the staff were delightful and so friendly. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had a delicious meal although it was obviously more expensive than you would pay in the town. For service and comfort, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed at La Residence d'Angkor in September 2009. From the minute we crossed the beautiful pond and surrounding gardens that encircled the main part of the hotel via a boardwalk , we knew we were going to enjoy our stay.

The 2 level hotel built mainly from timber and stone is a refreshing change from multi story hotels where your room is just a stacked cubicle. Every detail was beautifully and tastefully rendered from the native art to the flowers to the gardens to the essential oils burning in your room.

We fell in love with the Cambodian people straight away as ALL of the staff sported huge smiles and were incredibly friendly.

Our room was gorgeous with a view of the river, every detail we could ever have hoped for was here and cleaned impeccably every day. This hotel is also very close to all the temples so we could visit the temples in the morning, return back for lunch and a swim and then either more sight seeing or shopping in the afternoon.

Now for the food... have I mentioned the food! The food was so delicious at this hotel that we were reluctant to eat any where else! It was fresh, healthy and oh so tasty, we just loved it. Dining was either inside in air conditioned comfort or outside overlooking the ponds where you could take in the evening breezes. The wine list was excellent and the wait staff we encountered were absolute professionals who made us feel very special.
We only had 4 days in Cambodia and I didn't get a chance to try any of their spa treatments as we were too busy sight seeing so it looks like we'll just have to come back and do it all again!

Eat out.
Grubby rooms ridiculous hand basins almost impossible to wet shave.
Bar prices severe - drink out
Casual staff
Many better in town
Hotel de la paix looked good - went for a drink and also to there restaurant near pub street AHA great fusion cooking
Raffles in town would be our choice if booking again

We planned to come here for 2 nights, and ended up staying for a week. The hotel takes your breath away the minute you walk in. Truly well blended to Siem Reap. Off a main road but a lush greenery. The pool was incredible, with plenty of loungers. The room (standard) was one of the most imaginatively decorated rooms I have ever been to. The hotel is full of wildlife like frogs and lizards that walk around freely at night. The restaurant makes you think you are in France. the chef is a genius. It is a pricey stay but will make all the difference to your experience o Angkor Wat.

We have stayed here many, many times, and have always loved it . When we come in , it is like coming home. You have the best pool in SE Asia, lovely to come to after a long hot day. Everything was just perfect, the room--we stayed in one of the new ones, just fantastic---- the staff, the Spa. You have done a great thing with your beautiful new spa—your excellently trained staff give superb treatments , and Teresa couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, you should be very proud of your staff---they know how to do everything to make you feel welcome and to attend to your every need. Don't stay anywhere else.
