We were so pleasantly surprised when we got to the Angkor Century. The hotel is not new or state of the art but it is very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and quick to help while always smiling. The hotel is a $2 ride away from Pub Street and only about 15 minutes away from Angkor Wat. They've got a very nice and refreshing pool and great spa. I got massages 2 nights in a row and loved it. We were there during the Chinese New Year so it was pretty crowded but the hotel managed everything very well. There were always tuk-tuks outside ready to take you wherever you need. The breakfast was typical with your usual fare of Asian noodle dishes, eggs, croissants, fruit and veggies. This may not be the newest hotel in the area but if I were to come back to Siem Reap, this is where'd I'd stay. Two thumbs way up!!

My husband and I stayed here as part of a tour ,we were picked up at the airport and brought here for 3 nights. We had a lovely warm welcome ,the staff were all friendly but in a genuine way. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfy ours overlooked the pool. We did manage to have a swim which was wonderful and much appreciated after a full day touring the temples. Breakfast was very good , buffet style with a fab choice of foods from around asia and continental choices. Although we hadn t booked to eat in the evening here one of our pre booked restaurants cancelled so we ended up eating in the hotel. We were so glad as the food was faultless. It was an assault on the senses in the best possible way. The hotel is a short tuktuk journey into the centre of town and there are always ones nearby. We without hesitation would
return here and recommend this oasis of calm in all the hustle and bustle.

Hotel is basic and needs is in need of updating. Furniture is outdated and worn, tv is old school and bathroom needed upgrading. This is really a tourist hotel for those who don't care about enjoying their surroundings. Hotel is very busy and packed with tourist groups who are very noisy. The hotel should inform groups to be considerate of other guest and keep the noise down to a minimum. The breakfast buffet was average and nothing special. If you are looking for an expensive hotel to drop your bags at for a few nights then this hotel will do. Otherwise, consider staying at a higher quality establishment!

Room Tip: Doesn't really matter-hotel needs upgrading

...with the attendant grunge, mobs of tourists, industrial slop buffets, and ship-them-in-ship-them-out attitude on the part of staff. Large student groups run the hallways at night, making this a party dormitory. No joke: the tour guides rip open cases of beer in the hotel lobby and pass out beer cans to their groups at check-in. At most, this is a 3-star hotel with aspirations to become a 2-star, if you're a college student on spring break this is the hotel for you, if you're not then the advice is to stay elsewhere.

We stayed here for 2 nights to explore the wonders of Angkor Wat.
Initial impression was very good with lovely room & fantastic pool.
But there was very little atmosphere in the hotel, bars & restaurants were empty at all times except for breakfast.
Also, the spa left at lot to be desired - my therapist didn't listen to my requests & didn't even wash her hands between treatments - if you want treatments, wonder into the town instead where they are far cheaper with better service.

We stayed in this charming place last November; everything was pretty and charming until we were attacked by bed bugs in our room. Not familiar with that, we allowed them to change the bed sheet; the next day our bodies were covered with bites and after some arguing we had them move us to another room; they never apologize or made up for it. Even though, we were luckier in the other room, you never know if you will be attacked also. Angkor Century is pretty but definitely lacking care and good housekeeping.

Room Tip: Ask for one without bed bugs.
