WOW! What a really delightful relaxing oasis to stay in for our adventure visit to Angkor Wat.

We were very lucky, due to circumstances unrelated to the hotel, to be put into an Executive suite on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. Fantastic indeed!! Delightful large room, big bathroom and shower, en-suite lounge - all just SO nice, clean and comfortable!

Lovely, smiling staff throughout the hotel made us feel valued and welcome guests.

The hotel is an easy Tuk-Tuk ride away from all the downtown sights in Siem Reap.

Other comments have noted that breakfast dishes tend to be aimed at Asian guests. To be honest, there is an excellent buffet for all tastes, plus, lots for Asian visitors who are probably the main clients of the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Stayed here on a group tour as a result of foul up on the part of the local tour agency. After being down graded at several of our hotels this was like an oasis. We were lucky in that we were given an executive suite on the top floor which had a lovely view across the pool. The room was very large but a rack rate of $380 I would hope so. Breakfast was very varied although slightly geared towards the asian market, still it was very pleasant to be able to sit outside to enjoy it.

Angkor Century Resort & Spa…. arrival November 12, to November 16 , 2013

we flew in from Bangkok which is a one hour flight into Siem Reap. At the airport you can buy your Entry-VISA at US $ 20.00 per person, be sure to bring a Passport picture. Outside the airport you will be assigned a TAXI , it's all well organized…our Taxi driver Chea Sothakea.. Phone : 012 437 663 the young driver spoke good English can organize anything to want in town… and we hired him for the next day to drive us around visiting the various sights of Angkor Wat. We were greeted by a Hostess Leng upon arrival at the Resort and she presented each of us a SCARF…. we stayed in room 258 ( see pictures ) which was very comfortable , it was a large room and had all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Hostess MOM is also very pleasant… the resort is very modern, very clean, good food for Breakfast,( huge selection of Western / Asian food items ) , if you prefer you can dine on the terrace. Lunch and Dinner was also good. For Dinner they offer a " Apsara Cultural Dance Show " weather permitting it will take place near the pool area, if not , enjoy the show ( You should see it…. ) in the main dining room, called the Coffee House where the service is very efficient. In front of the dining room they have local entertainment, performed either by the 11 year old boy K. Meta playing the * Rorneatek * instrument, or a very charming girl just 8 years old..The Resort also has a very nice Swimming Pool area….. Since we like massages ( Khmer ) we hired a Tuk - Tuk, ( you find them lined up on the right hand side when you leave the Resort - be sure to negotiate - . He took us to " Healthy Hands "( located on National Rd. No 6 Svaydangkum, Siem Reap Telephone 063 96 61 62 ), where a 60 minute massage is US $ 10.00 , take advantage of this fabulous price.….I had masseuse No 55 , her name is HOUY just terrific. While in downtown Siem Reap, visit Pub Street's shops and markets… everything looked very clean…
Since we hired our own Taxi Service ( a suggestion from another TripAdvisor writer ), CHEA S… was waiting for us promptly at 5:00 AM with a certified Government Tour Guide to take us to Angkor Wat, we paid for the full Day US 30.00 to each individual and it was worth it. We wanted to see the SUNRISE taking place at Angkor Wat, which is very magical and spiritual. As we arrived at the entrance, we bought a three day pass for US $ 40.00 each… this allows you to visit all the Temples as often as you wish. We arrived in front of the Lagoon / Temple at 5:30 AM when it was still dark to await the sunrise. There were hundreds of people there . Be sure to bring your Camera, because the mood is awesome and the reflection of the Temple in the Lagoon is spectacular too. At 7:10 AM the sunrise took place and everyone was in "AWE"… we left by 7:30 AM returning to our Resort to have a good hearty breakfast. Just set a time with your driver and he will be waiting for you to go back to Angkor Wat… also be sure to get the phone number of his Cell phone, also if you hire a Tuk - Tuk, just in case if the meet up is problem you can call him. Everyone has a Cell phone , ask a driver to make the call for you and give him US $1.oo Dollar tip. He will be thankful. By the way all transactions are quoted in US Dollars- except in the Super-Market - but everyone accept the local currency as well . Our Tour Guide " Meu Moeun Telephone.. (855) 17 90 72 79 or (855 ) 15 63 49 52--- eMail: moeunmeu@yahhoo.com , is very good, speaks good English and will take you through each Temple and explain all the details to you. You will be pleased with his SERVICE. We visited the main Temple " Angkor Wat, Angkor, Thom Temple and Ta Prohm Temple. Of course he will take you to other Temples in the area as well on other days. On another day we took a Tuk-Tuk with driver Mr. NOEUT , Phone 097 673 01 54 his TAXI is No. 9707 .This young man is also very reliable and on time and understands English. He took us to Tole Sap Lake which is a 19 km drive from the Resort. Here you can take a one hour boat ride to see houses on stilts , the boat will tale you through Canals, you will see a lot poverty, everybody wants money… I say skip the trip, it's not worth it. rather see Inle Lake in Myanmar much more pleasant. I mailed from the Resort about 7 Postcards with the Angkor Wat scene, gave the postcards to a clerk at the reception desk for mailing, he wanted for each card US 1.00 which I paid to him in CASH , but my postcards never arrived at their designated destination. Don't repeat this mistake. Some Folks still LOVE our US DOLLAR. What a disappointment… even with this experience I MUST say, that the people I dealt with in Siem Reap / Angkor Wat were very gracious, very pleasant, very helpful & accommodating. We had a great time and recommend to visit this site.

Room Tip: Room 258 , a very comfortable room, very clean, with a view out to the Gardens...

My 2 sisters and I stayed here for 4 nights in early January. It was a very pleasant place to stay, marvellous courteous helpful staff, an easy walk or tuk-tuk ride to town & comfortable clean rooms. The only downside was that the airconditioning was a little noisy. The hotel seems to mainly cater for Asian package tours but all the staff couldn't help enough to assist we 3 older anglo-saxons. The breakfast buffet was extensive and each morning the breakfast manager offered us bacon & cheese as well. We would recommend watching the dance performance at night while eating the delicious Khymer set menu. The Khymer beef salad & chicken in tamarind sauce from the set menu are 'to die for' so we ordered them again another night! If I ever returned to marvellous Siem Reap I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. Room was OK, bar was fine and pool was nice. The Spa was doing a discount on massage and that was very good and excellent value. Those are the plus points. The down side was that breakfast was geared to the Asian market and it was difficult to find any alternative - bacon had to be ordered seperately and the queue for fresh cooked eggs was so long we didn't bother. The fruit was great so we mostly just went for that.

The staff were very friendly and pleasant and did their best but ordering wine was just a step too far for them - after a while the waiter came back and told us the first bottle was 'out of stock' - next choice the same thing happened - third choice arrived but it was now the red version not the white and so on (by this time we were quite thirsty). Our companions also only got what they wanted on the second attempt. We appreciate that most people on holiday here drink beer not wine, but the staff ought to have some basic understanding of it ( at least to know red from white)?

We spent six nights in this hotel at the end of December 2013 and found it to be very good and we enjoyed our stay.

We had two rooms on the third floor overlooking the pool and considered them to be of a good size, well fitted out and maintained and importantly clean. The hotel facilities are what you would expect of a reasonable quality hotel such as restaurant, bar facilities, pool, spa, Gym ,etc. Breakfast could have been improved a little but it was adequate and we never went hungry.

It is located a little out of what might be considered central Siem Reap which could be an advantage as you are away from the very busy area and only a short Tok Tok ride back if you don't feel like walking. Having said this it is an easy walk of 10 - 15 minutes or so (depending on how quickly you want to walk or how many shops you stop at on the way) which we did in both directions on a number of occasions.

However, the biggest asset of this hotel is the staff, they were fabulous and really made our stay that much more enjoyable. This was not limited to only a couple of staff but all appeared, from our interactions, to be friendly, cooperative, cheerful and very happy and willing to assist in any way if possible.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool area would be best as they have a great outlook and balconies.

The position of this hotel is not very good as it is too far to walk into town. There is an extensive breakfast buffet - unfortunately it is all geared toward Asian guests with very little to suit western tastes apart from bread and fruit. My husband asked for bacon and the chef arrived with three rashers (which he shared with me), but others who did not ask had the choice of bean spouts and rice etc. Internet access is only available in the lobby and not in the bedrooms.
