Nicely designed hotel with lots of greens and well distributed bungalows providing a good level of privacy even though the number of rooms is important .

Well located between the city and the temples .

The swimming pool is easily accessible from all bungalows .

Definitely a good hotel for families .

We were a group of 11 looking for accommodation during the busiest weekend if the year in Siem Reap: the weekend of the international half marathon. The Angkor Village Resort and Spa fitted us all in and looked after us all beautifully. They went the extra mile to make us feel special before and after the replace too which was much appreciated.

Rooms are not huge but well equipped, clean and comfortable. Each has a terrace or a balcony looking out to the pool which is a tropical river winding amongst the buildings. Really could have done with a shower curtain in the bathroom though, had to sit on the edge of the bath to shower which wasn't ideal.

The food: oh the food: fabulous! Can't fault a single thing! From the beautiful, fresh baked French patisserie items, incredibly and moreish home made jams at breakfast to the explosion-in-the-mouth taste sensation of something as simple as a cucumber salad, and the fish dishes it was all superb. Sadly 2 days didn't give me a chance to eat my way through the entire menu, more's the pity.

The staff were unfailingly professional, charming and polite. We loved that they laid on breakfast at 5am on the morning of the race, the transported us to the start in a fleet of land rovers and then fed us again on our triumphant return!

They also brought in extra staff for the spa knowing many tired legs would need massaging! The spa was great value for money too: on average US$25 for an hour of fabulous treatment.

Yes there are other swankier hotels in Siem Reap, we visited a couple of them but this one had a lovely homely feel and I would not hesitate to return.

I would have given it five stars except for the shower curtain and also the proximity to the main road and other buildings meant that we had to endure a an exceedingly loud, 24 hour long wedding. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but it did take away from the enjoyment.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The hotel arranged the very short taxi ride from the airport (15 mins) and greeted us with a drink and a cooling towel. After checking in, we were given a complimentary 30 minute foot massage which was fantastic! Perhaps it was a clever piece of marketing because we had further treatments on the strength of that. However, the treatments were top class and very reasonably priced.
The rooms themselves were very comfortable and spacious, with a colonial French style. I believe we had an upgraded room so maybe it was a bit bigger than the normal size. Our room overlooked the pool but I think they all did as the pool itself curved its way around the resort.
All the staff were so very friendly and courteous and made us feel very special. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
The food and cocktails were delicious and there was a happy hour (2 for 1) every night with a complimentary side dish to enjoy with the drink.
We arranged an excursion to the Angkor Wat temples for a day, with our own private guide and driver. The total cost of the day was $60 for the two of us, but remember to add the extra for the temple permits. These cost about $15 per person for each day. Well worth taking the time out to do this.
A tuk tuk from the hotel is $3 each way and takes about 10 minutes. We highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing and enjoyable stay and plan to visit Siem Reap anytime.

Room Tip: I don't think there is there much difference to the view or quality whatever room you choose. Th...

We spent one night here (should have stayed longer) and found the resort to be a perfect refuge from the hustle and bustle of Angkor Wat in peak season. The rooms are extremely comfortable, quiet and well maintained. The staff was lovely, securing a last-minute guide for us and providing endless directions and advice. The hotel is a $3 tuk-tuk (motorized carriage) ride to the center of Siem Reap for loads of dinner options. The pool was dreamy. I would rate the breakfast as excellent, with lots of western and Asian buffet options. The dinner service in the less formal outdoor dining area was great though the food was less authentically Cambodian than we would have liked.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with 2 other people in November. This hotel is well located - a little outside town so it is very quiet but it is just a 5-8 minute tuk-tuk ride away from the city. It has beautiful, tropical, lush grounds with a 200 m pool meandering through it. The rooms were nice and spacious and the bedding was very comfortable. The balcony needed some kind of mosquito coil though because it was impossible to sit there due to the mosquitoes.
Our bathroom was very spacious and nice ( we had booked the twin cottage). There was no hot water the first day but when we informed the reception they immediately remedied the problem.
Breakfast was good. Lots of variety of western food and some Asian fare as well. Had no issues with getting a good table.
The lady at the reception called Marion was very helpful. The first day she met us and asked us what we were interested in and gave us a lot of good suggestions and advice. She even recommended some excellent non- touristy restaurants to us. Thank you Marion!
The staff at the hotel was super polite and friendly and helpful.
Tuk-tuks were always waiting outside the hotel to take the guests where ever they wanted to go. We hired a tuk- tuk from town though, guy called Mon. He was our guy for all five days. Super punctual, very smiley and always had cold water for us! Many times we would go over by at least an hour in the day but never charged us extra for it. We of course gave him a good tip in the end. He also took us to Bantey Srei and we absolutely loved the ride because we could see the country side really well from the tuk-tuk. The ride is about 45 minutes but then we really enjoyed riding in the tuk-tuk!
The library at the hotel has some excellent books on Angkor Wat and the Khmer civilization. If you have time try to go through some books before you go to the temples. We wished we had done that.
Overall, it was a great experience for us and we loved staying at The Angkor Village Resort.

We spent 3 days of our honeymoon at the resort. Great attention, very kind people. The lobby and the bay are so relaxing. The pool is the best I´ve ever seen. But, breakfast wasn't good for a 4 stars hotel.
