The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The swimming pool and garden area was beautiful. There were many options for breakfast in the morning. Rides into town for shopping and food was easy with a quick tuk-tuk ride which the staff would gladly help with. Overall, our stay was a great experience!

Nice khmer decor hotel with helpful staff! Be sure to book pool side area and you will enjoy the view of the garden and swimming pool. It's just 10-15usd different. Fitness gym is well equipped. I had noodles every morning and it's super delicious! Free Wi-Fi is available on the ground floor. I'm sure I'll come back here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel is located on the 'Hotels Street', with small shops & fruit stores nearby and easy to catch 'tutu'. The room is large and the staff are friendly and of good service. However what bothered us is the hygiene. When we entered into the room, we found that the bed sheet on one of the beds had many tiny black dots. So they changed into another one. Yet very soon the new bed sheet also got some (though lesser this time) black dots. Mosquitoes and large cockroaches (dead and alive ones) could also be found in the room. None of us dared to try the swimming pool with the hygiene concern also. The airconditioning was not cool enough for a nice sleep at night, and this could not be fixed in spite of several checking by the hotel staff. Wifi only available at lobby area but difficult to get connected.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences you may had have. We would like to inform you that necessary action have been taken to correct the points you highlighted.

We had tried our best to work with Pest Killer Company to get rid of those insects available in few of our guest rooms on ground floor.

As for WiFi Internet, it is available in all area of our hotel including guest room, conference room, swimming pool and garden area. The only matter is that we provide free connection only in the hotel lobby, lounge bar and restaurant.

We also would be very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome you in your next visit to Apsara Angkor Resort, and hopefully change the impression you had about your last stay.

Warm Apsara regards,

The Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association (IPPA), the peak professional archaeological body for the Asia-Pacific region, held its 20th Congress at the Apsara Angkor Hotel during the week of 12-18 January 2014. The Congress was co-organised by the Royal Academy of Cambodia, and was opened by His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister, Sok An. The Apsara Angkor hotel was chosen very late in the planning process, after a government venue became unavailable. General Manager Mr Nuon TEVIPHEA and his staff did an extraordinary job of hosting around 750 delegates from 40 countries around the world, adjusting to our ever-shifting requirements with great efficiency and wonderful friendliness. Not all delegates stayed at the venue, but those who did (including me, in my splendid Apsara Suite) were very pleased with their accommodation and other "off-duty" facilities such as the bar and the pool, as well as the conference facilities and catering. I have had nothing but compliments about the Congress from our worldwide membership, all of the messages saying that the Siem Reap meeting was our most successful Congress ever. A great deal of the credit must go the the Apsara Angkor Resort and Conference Hotel!

Hotel is good for conference purpose. Large, clean, well run, great food and very good service with friendly staff. Nice pool. But too far from sites of interest in Siem Reap such as museum, temples, NGOs like Artisans d'Angkor. Staff will get tuk tuk but if sightseeing is main purpose hotel is a bit far out.

Room Tip: i enjoyed a pool view room though a bit noisy during the day if trying to relax due to pool users an...

Stayed a week for a conference. Room average, though poor range of cable TV when you consider that many Asian hotels have better choices- the only news channel was Aljazzira. Sink in bathroom was cracked, a symptom of poor maintenance. Food varied little from day to day, meals were OK but unexciting.
At the end of my stay, it turned out that while the hotel accepted "credit card" for payment, this did not include American Express.
I had an unpleasant experience when asking for a Cambodian banknote to be changed into smaller denominations to pay local tuk tuk (taxi) drivers, who never seem to have any change- the hotel shortchanged me and a manager had to intervene with the sullen desk staff. The amount was really only a few cents, but the idea of a guest as someone to exploit rather than someone to provide services to is not what I expect from an international hotel.

Was there for a conference in January for a week which was held at the hotel. Great service all the way around. Staff very polite and helpful, and went out of their way to help. Would definitely recommend. It's only a 10 min tuk tuk ride into the market and Pub Street for shopping and eating at lots of good restaurants.
