We stayed for a couple of days in a 20 USD room which had a AC, flat-LCD TV, fridge, hot water and a bathtub (which could not be used). Breakfast was included and so was the pool.

The pool was the only reason we stayed more than one night.

Breakfast was a joke for that price-range and when we asked for more bread we were refused (the excuse was, that they were out of bread, which was probably not true and the bakery was right next door).

Another problem was the staff:

- the only nice guy was the owner who was always smiling and kind
- all the other staff were exceptionally unfriendly and sometimes rude (refusing fresh towels, until we insisted for 5 times that our old ones haven't been changed)
- the reception is almost always empty and so is the restaurant (even during breakfast times)

Was the overall experience bad?
- No, so we stayed 5 days, because of the pool.

Would I go back there?
- No.

Room Tip: Choose a room higher up, because of the noise from the street and don't choose one facing the pool side, because of constructions.

double room was clean, and big enough for two people.
Bathroom was quite good also.
What i hated about this guesthouse was that whenever i went out or in, there were no staff on reception or around anywhere - anyone from the street can easily walk in, grab whatever key they want and let themselves into your room !
The morning that we checked out we searched for a staff member to checkout and then proceeded to get a tuk tuk to the airport, the lady from the guesthouse came outside yelling at our tuk tuk driver and at us about using their tuk tuk (who wasnt even there at the time, and we were running late so this held us up even further!)
This was my second time to siem reap, and giving that this guesthouse is not a good location, and has no security or customer service, i would not stay here again, there are a lot better options to choose from .

Mr. Chhay was very accomodating. We arrived in Siem Reap almost midnight and Raffy, our tuktuk driver was already waiting for us at the airport. also, it was Mr. Chhay himself who welcomed us.

Our room was big enough for 3 people especially the beds. Breakfast served was toast, butter, jam, platter of fresh fruits, and milk.

Our stay in Siem Reap was so much fun because of Mr. Chhay's hospitality. He helped us in all our tours and even booked our trip to Phnom Penh via Mekong Express.

Also, the pool is a major major plus points.

we booked online and slightly cheaper direct than thru asia rooms..our stay was in June so rates were good US20 for std dble room .
the .rooms are very nice and even the std is very good at this price.there seems to be 2 or 3 buddings and we were in the 2nd from the road ..it was good size and fairly new and well built..i live in thailand and i find that the guest houses in thailand are very shoddy and poorly built so even new new places are crappy for the most part
>moms is lovely place to stay and has nice decor with large beds and the breakfast is basic but nice as baguettes are always nice
the owner is very nice and helpful and if its not there is mostly someone else who speaks enough english to help u out.
close enough to town centre 2km away(pub street etc) and usually can be walked and nice walk cos its by the river for most part..$1 by tuk tuk ..2 if its raning
they have bicycles u can use and we ride into town and around for a hour and cambodia is great place for riding cos less traffic than most of asia and push bikes on the road are everywhere.
nearby are lovely park and hotel s with awesome gardens and makes nice bike ride to

they have a awesome pool that is good size and the setting is very lovely

I went with another family and stayed at Mom's guest house from May 24- 28, 2013. It's run by an elderly lady and her son. It's a small place run by very reliable owners and a handful of employees who come to clean and cook breakfast.

The 'yes things' first- the deluxe rooms are quite spacious, with a balcony. Standard rooms are clean and reasonably good size, but no balcony. Bathrooms are clean. There's refrigerator in each room and 2 water bottles are provided everyday, free of charge. Breakfast is included but it is the same every day. Some toast omelette tea and a plate of cut mango between 2 people.
Internet is free and speed is reasonable. Their swimming pool is small but clean and since no one uses it, for us it was like our own private pool.
Their tuk- tuk guy is very nice and friendly.
Trustworthy place. I wouldn't worry about leaving my camera or laptop on the bed. I realized, I would find it right where I had left it. They do provide a safe but it's number combinations are too complicated to use, so I never did.

The 'no' things: The lady, her son and grand daughter manage the reception, perhaps this is the reason why for most part of the day and evening there is no one at the reception.
The hallway is very dimly lit, they could do with some more lighting. There are only 2 computers for guests to use and both are so closely placed that no two guests (who are strangers to each other) would occupy both computers at the same time. If one computer was being used, the other computer sat idle. Guests wait for each other to finish.

There weren't many guests- only 5 rooms were occupied when we were there. That says something about the place. It is a laid back place though!

For the quality the price was high. For Deluxe room, we paid $32 and for Standard family room we paid $36

Room Tip: Do not opt for a single room. It's dingy and just $ 3 less than double room.
