Seated in the ehart of Siem Reap is the Ta Phrom where people come for its infamous trees that engulf the ancient buildings. The roots of the trees are actually what cover the trees. Can't resist to get a picture of the spots.

The famous temple in siem reap where part of the tomb raider film was shot. A very unique temple with much of what’s standing being held together with huge ingrown trees. I very much enjoyed seeing how nature has intertwined with the ruins that have been left behind here. Travel here with a tour guide to learn as much as possible.

Like all of the other temples there are locals selling souvenirs and there was even a couple of performers playing music at the entrance. Great place for some pictures!

Yes the temple is amazing with amazing stories to with it but the trees! Omg! The trees are something to behold! Unfortunately they are actually slowly destroying the temples and this seems to be getting taken in hand now. Let’s hope they can manage the site so it is here again for as long as it already has been. To add to the history it also has the fame of having had a movie shot there a few years back, The Temple of Doom. The movie mob must’ve paid a bomb for the privilege! Most enjoyable!

Ta Prohm was arguably of much more interest to us compared to Angkor Wat itself as it's simply as spectacular with the forests growing on top plus around. I cant recommend this particular location enough. Its age is displayed by the dimensions of the trees growing atop its roof structure. Love this particular place!!!

One point however, in case you intend on eating around there, dont get it done at Ta Prohm as we discovered the rates for several reason were way way more for food than exterior Angkor Wat itself, perhaps since its much more dealt with. Take a lot of water!

Magnificent and spectacular!
We liked the temple the very best out in the world in the region, simply astounding. We have been fortunate we'd the location virtually to ourselves, it was late in the morning, spitting with rain and thundering! The ambiance was straight out of' Tomb Raider'.

The trees growing from the wall space plus canopy of leaves made it truly special for photos that are great and exploring.

A necessity to do but try to stay away from the crowds (very early on or even quite late in the morning is best).
