Memoire d'Angkor was the perfect fit for my wife and I during our first visit to Siem Reap. We were luckily on the 5th floor so had a great terrace and decent city views to enjoy when we were recovering from a days exploration of the Angkor Archaeological Park.

The Great:
-the Staff. Thanks to Ken for assisting us at the airport and Special Thanks to Chan who was a constant help throughout the trip. Chan arranged a brilliant tuk-tuk driver for us as well as a fantastic "off the beaten path" itinerary for our last day.
-the Location. others have mentioned it but you are next door to the Lucky 7 shopping mall which houses a very useful supermarket. barring that, the Angkor Market is only another 2 minutes walk down the street. cafes and restaurants abound meaning no Pub Street unless you really want to go (we didn't).
-Angkor Wat Archaeological Park- only about 15 to 20 minutes from the hotel. The staff will also help out to arrange any manner of tour itinerary you might want.
-Good food at breakfast in the morning and fairly quiet in the evenings
-No extra charge for Christmas Dinner festivities which is something of a rarity
-Complimentary airport pick-up & drop-off, complimentary mini-bar, wi-fi and laundry- very, very helpful

If we had any other feedback, it would be pretty minor. Some staff were maybe too attentive at times but if you consider the alternative of having to chase after indifferent hotel personal it is not a big deal.

We stayed at Memoire right before Christmas. Sochanthy was our special host for our stay. The staff truly mean it when they say they will treat you like family. We were warmly welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and the beds have the most comfortable pillows. We slept extremely well after a day touring Angkor Wat. One of the best parts of staying here are the delicious breakfasts. They have many choices of Asian and Western dishes - delicious rice and noodles, croissants and pastries that the French would be proud of, noodle soups and eggs made to order and beautifully cut fruits. They make fresh squeezed watermelon juice and excellent coffee fresh for you. The location of the hotel is excellent - many hotels line the road from the airport, but aren't close to Pub Street and the night markets. Memoire is on the city, a short tuk-tuk ride or walk to these areas. We didn't use the pool, but it looked lovely. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Siem Reap

Memoire d'Angkor isn't the most luxurious hotel in town, but the overall experience is still excellent. The rooms are large and the facilities are good. I was offered free drinks in the mini bar as well as free laundry service, which was definitely a very nice surprise. The staff was friendly and attentive as well, and my requests were quickly handled and handled well. The hotel lies only a short distance from the very centre of the town, which is completely accessible on foot. Right next to it is a shopping mall with a supermarket inside. What comes with such convenience is however a lack of nice view from the rooms, but then as travellers I suppose this is not the most important. The only real negative for me was the limited choices of hot dishes in the breakfast buffet, but overall, it was a very nice stay at Memoire d'Angkor.

Stayed over the Christmas period with my family of 4. Reaching the hotel on the first day, the Assistant Manager, Chanty greeted us with all smiles and warmness. Really made us feel at home.

After the pick up and settled into our family suites, Chanty was with us recommending what we can do in Siem Reap, including planning and booking for the tuk-tuk and car for the temple visit. Really great services.

The hotel featured a pool with swing beds by the side. Really a bliss as my kids and I would lay on the bed and sleep to the swinging motion after the swim. Very relaxing and soothing. The location of the hotel is also great. Just about 20 minutes stroll to the town centre. A tuk-tuk drive would also cost a mere USD1.

The staff are all so polite and warmth. They greeted and approach us for a small chat each time we passed by, giving us more information on the temple site or just listening to our visit for the day.

One of the best hotel we had stayed in, both in term of service quality and location.
