Description: New Hope Cambodia is a grass roots, rapidly growing Non-Government Organisation (NGO) run by a dedicated individual, a local Khmer called Sot Suo (Kemsour). The focus of New Hope is 'free education for all' as the founders recognise the vital role education plays in helping break the cycle of poverty. The school provides English, maths, computer technology and sewing lessons, free, to over 750 children and adults from Mondul 3, Siem Reap...one of the poorest slum areas in Cambodia. New Hope's clinic also treats up to one hundred residents each day for burns, wounds, salmonella poisoning, infections and illnesses such as malnutrition, HIV, hepatitis, typhoid, tuberculosis and dengue fever and, as part of their focus, New Hope also operates a traditional Khmer Training Restaurant under the expert guidance of ex-Foreign Correspondents’ Club Head Chef, Srey Mom.

Had lunch here a few days back whilst touring the work done here by the New Hope Cambodia organisation. The staff were, who are being trained in this vocational skill for free, were as excellent as the food was tasty. Will definitely return and, in my opinion, that's the best review one could ever write about a restaurant.

Our family decided to visit the New Hope Cambodia training Restaurant and facilities and we were certainly glad we did as we each had a great meal which was delicious and well presented. The young people here under the guidance of qualified chefs are doing a terrific job and we will look forward to our next visit for the food the mango smoothies and a very nicely made Pina Colarda. It is a little bit of a mission to find, but a lot of Tuk Tuk drivers do know where to go but NHC do have a driver who can pick you up.

We came here for lunch. It is a bit off the beaten track but our tuk tuk driver managed to find it ok.
The service from the students was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our salad and sandwich! The staff are training for future employment at it was our pleasure to be part of that journey. A great cause! Don't miss it!

Our family of 4 went for lunch at the New Hope training restaurant. It's a bit tricky to find (our tuktuk driver had to ask directions) but well worth the effort. We had a great time: all our meals were delicious & our sons declared the mango smoothies to be the best they'd ever tasted (& they've had a lot!) We hadn't pre-arranged our visit but the staff still took the time to show us around & explain their work. They've developed a very holistic approach to helping their local community, which fully deserves support. At the very least, help them support themselves by going for lunch!
