From the efficient pick-up at the airport, the warm welcome from Vivi when you check-in, the plentiful breakfast each day and the constantly friendly Khmer staff this is a great place to stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my four nights at Rumahmu. The double room was a good size, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well proportioned with plentiful hot water after about 30 seconds and at a good pressure. The breakfast choice is good for a hotel of this size and the coffee is great.

Vivi is a marvellous hostess - leaves you alone when you want privacy but is convivial when you want to discuss your itinerary ideas and travel arrangements or just chat about life in Siem Reap.

A wonderful experience and I will definitely stay again if/when I next visit the area.

Top tip - get your laundry done. They charge by the kilo (USD 1.50) and it is returned quickly and ironed/pressed too.

We stayed here five nights and it was, without doubt, our favorite hotel in a month-long journey across several countries. They are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are lovely and spotless. Breakfast is fantastic (and available all day.) The pool is great. And we loved the location -- we were thrilled to not be in the middle of Pub Street, but an easy 10 minute walk away, in a quiet neighborhood.

Stayed here 4 nights (Jan 14-18 2014) - the whole family loved it due to the room quality & hospitality & helpfulness of both Roth & Vivi.
Just like the other reviews we cannot fault this place- my wife loved it and wanted to stay longer. She has nothing but praise for Roth who took over the hotel in Vivi's absence & did a wonderful job of making everybody feel welcome - Roth could not do enough for us! It was very peaceful and relaxing by the pool or in the well appointed rooms (fridge, tv, beverage eqpt.,toiletries etc). The staff were always smiling!
We also managed to forget some items when we left and Vivi immediately sprang into action. We received the items at our hotel in Phnom Penh the next day as Vivi organised a tuk tuk driver to collect then deliver the items from the next available bus- this just demonstrates further the hospitality and care shown by the staff at this hotel.
Totally recommended for anybody wanting a safe and comfortable stay in Siem Reap.

We had a really love stay in this hotel. Room was large and comfortable, cool and very clean. Bathroom was excellent and breakfast fresh and plenty to choose from. The pool was lovely in the afternoons. We enjoyed being a little away from the centre of town and had no hassle walking into town - approximately 10 mins walk.

We extended our stay in siem reap at the last minute and booked this hotel, for one night as we wanted, somewhere to relax before a long journey home. The service on check in is delightful. We arrived at 10am and a room was ready for us within 30 mins and we sat by the pool all day. The pool is lovely with plenty of chairs set in a gorgeous garden. It's very peaceful. The room we has is on the first floor with a corner position and although it's not huge it was delightfully appointed. If you are travelling with a family this would be a very safe and cosy place to stay as it is away from the bustle of pub street. Very, very good service and very good value for money.

We stayed at Rumahmu for four nights over Christmas and loved it. A very nice hotel about a ten minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Siem Reap. Perfectly lo,dated as it is down a quiet lane yet within easy reach of the restaurants and bars. We had the most fantastic driver for three days going around the temples (organised by the hotel) who knew just how to avoid the crowds. Rooms were immaculately clean and the pool was great for a refreshing dip after a long day of touring the world heritage park. Would definitely recommend to anyone who prefers their hotels cozy and quietly located yet close to the entertainment district.

I previously misspelt the name. It is Rumahmu.

We found ourselves in Siem Reap for Christmas and my wife and Vivi(Manageress) put together a traditional Christmas Lunch. Much effort was put in with a lot of running around buying specialities and a terrific lunch was presented.
The Rumahmu has now been open for almost a year I think and the teething problems have been ironed out. They can now organise any tour that you may require. An added attraction that I had not noticed before is the fantastic view into the Crocodile farm behind. No danger to the hotel at all but if you go to the top floor and use full zoom there are some terrific pics available of what is behind the farms stone walls.
The establishment is very much family orientated with a great pool for the children to pass their time in.

Room Tip: There are a couple of great rooms on the top floor but you may have to pay a bit more.
