We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Away from the central strip but close enough to walk or grab a tuk tuk for a dollar. Pool is nice sized and never crowded. Room was clean and comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant. There is a nice resatraunt brown rice just over the road for a enjoyable meal if you don't want to go into town. Only negative was that we didn't get picked up by their tuk tuk driver even though it was confirmed and then we were charged on the checkout bill for the tuk tuk we'd had to get. There are a few mozzies too but it seems to be an issue most places.

We arrived late at night at the hotel and received welcoming drink and shown straight to room. Awoke to find no water in bathroom at all. Told management at breakfast and they gave us a new, bigger room straight away. The air conditioners in the rooms are a bit small but do the job ok. The staff here are very friendly and helpful organising tours etc. They minded our bags after we checked out as we had a late flight. The location is out of the main area which we quite liked. Only 10 minute walk or $2 in a tuk tuk. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Jayavara Boutique Villa and had an outstanding time. Nice touch was the spelling of your name with lemon grass leaves on the bed at arrival. The pool was most refreshing after the long hot day. The staff was highly attentive and we even extended our stay by one day (they charged us the same rate as our original booking). It is located outside the main tourist area - about a 15 minute walk or $1 Tuk Tuk into town and $2 back (negotiated down from $3). Keep the card of the hotel with you as not every Tuk Tuk driver knew the place. We also made our own separate arrangements with Mr. Sara who drove us for three days. We did the Grand Circuit, including Sunrise at Angkor Wat and Sunset at Phnom Bakheng (which due to the haze didn't quite work out), as well as longer trips out to Bang Mealea - which was my favorite! as well as a river boat trip to Tonle Sap river where we did catch a sunset - another off the beaten path adventure. The fare was quite reasonable even though we opted for an AC car over a Tuk-Tuk given the season. His info is sarahangkortravel@gmail.com

Room Tip: We were on the first floor - it was convenient as no stairs. Cambodia does have mosquitoes - we hunted down about 5 on the first day and then were vigilant about squatting them/leaving door closed, etc... Not an issue for us.

We loved everything about this hotel! Starting with the sweet gesture of a welcome drink to the ever helpful and smiling staff. The property is adorable with an open air lobby and restaurant. The rooms are great, always clean and larger than necessary. Mr. Pranha (sp?) at the front desk is so sweet and professional. A true asset to an already wonderful establishment. I hope this place never changes, never loses it's charm! Worth every riel!

I stayed 3 nights at Jayavara Boutique Villa and enjoyed it very much:
- hotel owner picked me up from the bus station (because the tuk tuk driver was not available)
- the very friendly, helpful staff
- the welcome drinks every time I came back
- the nice, big room
- the situation of the hotel (not to close to the center, but still in town and walking distance to Pub Street and markets)
- the hotel tuk tuk driver for the visite of Angkor
- the breakfast
- etc., etc.
