We went to this hotel with family and friends, and made reservations for 3 rooms, 3 nights ! (april 2010)
The organizations was perfect : we parked the car in front of the hotel, the porter came and helped us with our luggage. He put them on a trolley, so the room service could bring them to our rooms.
Waiting for the receptionist, we have been offered a welcome drink.
Our rooms were situated on the second floor, and before arriving we'd asked for a swimming pool view. They considered our request. Nice !
The room was spacious, clean, quiet, with a little balcony ! Of course, there's air conditioning !
And what a lovely bathroom !!! with italian shower, and a beautiful bathtub ! All furnished : samples, toothbrushes, towels and bathrobes !
The swimming pool is just awesome after a hot day visiting the temples !
We had the breakfast included in the price of the room. Continental or asian food, you choose !! fantastic buffet, and nice atmosphere in the morning, with the musician girl playing for us...
The hotel is quiet far from the "tourist road", but you can easily have a tuk-tuk, and its only 5 to 10 minutes drive.

My son and I enjoyed staying at the Borie Angkor. The accommodations were first rate . The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel manager lined up an english speaking tour guide who was very fluent in English and gave us a really great tour.

Great hotel for the price, not right in town but a $15 tuk tuk will take you anywhere you want for the whole day. Just be aware of bar prices, $5.50 for a bottle of water at the pool is outrageous, when it's 50c out on the street! $27 for a 5 min international call is a flat out rip off, felt very ripped off! Staff are very welcoming though. Would stay again albeit not touch the bar prices

Being greeted by doormen in traditional Cambodian dress sets the scene at this large, all-you-could-ask-for resort. Cambodian music, welcome cocktails, huge buffet breakfast and gorgeous pool with plenty of shady and undercover areas. We booked through wotif and got a great deal. While it pretty much offers all you could want, it is away from the action in the centre of town. I found this a little annoying and would have rather stayed in the thick if it. However there are always plenty of tuk tuks waiting by the main gate -$2 to get you into the town centre, about 5 minutes or so away.

We stayed for five nights at the resort in July with our teenage children and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff went out of their way to provide us excellent service and could not do enought to please us.Rooms were clean and comfortable and very conveniently located
to the city centre.

Stayed here purposely during a business trip. We decided to lodge away from the hotels strip and the famous "expat" neighborhood. It was well worth being off the beaten path.

This hotel seems a city within a city. That can be good if you want to relax but can also be very isolated if you want to mix with the locals.

Thanks to the Tuk Tuks available around the clock, however, and the fact that getting around Siem Reap is pretty safe, we were able to be in the Convention Center or in the temples in no time and never felt far away from anything.

Although all Tuk Tuk drivers seem to know how to get to the hotel when we hired a few local drivers they didn't seem to know where the hotel was located at.

If you are in Siem Reap in business you might want to think about it twice: it is a Spa after all and everyone seems to be there for relaxation and WiFi is unreliable... but the staff is wonderful!

Comparing the spa prices to Switzerland's, the Borei Angkor is much cheaper, but prices are higher than in some cities in the US.

Enjoy the free fruit in the room.

Room Tip: I asked for a room overlooking the pool. It was good to see others relax after a day's work :)

We have travelled extensively either privately or on organised tours. In comparison with other sophisticated hotels in Asia and Europe, this hotel is exemplary in its customer service focus. We booked with the hotel via the internet and always had quick e-mail responses to our queries. Before departure, we received an e-mail from Borei which assured us that they will be there to provide the hotel transfer as arranged. We knew the hotel was special when we saw the driver in full Borei uniform waiting patiently to greet us. We booked a Deluxe Room for 4-15 Jul 2011, and we were pleasantly surprised when Borei management took the initiative to upgrade us to a larger Landmark Room when it became available. This made or stay even more enjoyable due to the extra space. Both rooms were spacious and had a balcony view of the pool. The moment we stepped into the pool and spa area, there is a sense of privacy and retreat which we particularly liked. The hotel is further enhanced by beautiful Cambodian carvings and the provision of Cambodian music during our stay. The breakfast was extensively international and delicious, especially the fresh noodle soup station. Our ad-hoc tour requirements were always cheerily and efficiently organised. The hotel is a USD$1 remorque tuk tuk ride to the Psar Leu market - well worth a quick peek at a real local market. Ride into Siem Reap was USD$2. The best feature of the hotel is the availability of staff who are always attentive, polite, helpful and friendly. Feedbacks such as spelling etc. were always welcomed and accepted graciously - a sign of a great hotel specialising in delighting its customers. A special thank you to Mr. Molivuth who personally looked after our daily dining requirements. This hotel is the very best and highly recommended for families, groups and couples.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the pool
