Borei Angkor Resort & Spa

We spent 4 nights at Borei Angkor from 19th Jun and we can’t wait to come back! It was our first trip to Cambodia and we didn’t know what to expect. But it exceeded our expectation. Kim hosted us upon arrival at the hotel and brought us around to show us all the facilities. She was very polite and showed great hospitality. The pool side view room we stayed in was absolutely spectacular, very comfortable for my family of 4 and great value for money. All the hotel staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was great. It was very pleasant to see the unique floating lotus flowers at different spots of the resort. Dany, at the Boutique, even showed us how to fold the Lotus flowers. Thanks to her. Then I have to mention Mr Tim, a director at the hotel. He was gracious to share about what to do in Siem Reap and his experience in Singapore.

We had no issues with insects, free wifi and location of hotel. To all the staff, Thank you for making our stay wonderful!!!

The rooms were big. The air conditioning could turn the room to ice in a minute if needed (absolutely essential in such a hot and humid environment). Didn't have any issues with insects or anything like that.
The food was good, the staff were always happy and helpful. The decor was also nice.
I can't really think of anything bad to say about the place...
Oh and it had free wifi which was useful too.

My husband, myself and our two boys, aged 11 and 12, have just had a fantastic 5 night stay with Borei Angkor. What a lovely hotel and more than anything, the staff were amazing. Have stayed in many hotels and never have I encountered such wonderful staff. The rooms are huge, the breakfasts fabulous, wonderful spa and once again, the staff. So friendly, warm and willing to do anything to please you. Jasmine was just wonderful and did everything to make our stay the best ever. We all loved our time with you Borei Angkor and I will tell all my friends to come and stay. So close to the night markets, just a $2 tuk tuk ride. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

We got a great price on this resort and were not expecting the great facilities this resort had to offer. Rooms were clean, great pool and day spa and the buffet breakfast and restaurant was fantastic. The bars had great offers on drinks and was not overpriced like other hotels we have stayed. The service was excellent! The staff were always saying hello and they would do anything for you. I was very ill on the day of check out and had checked out and was waiting in the lobby until we had to leave for our flight and they were so caring and gave us a room to use until we had to leave. They brought up coconut water and checked on me to make sure I was ok. I really recommend the resort and would definitely go back there!

Though I am used to staying at Boutique hotels when visiting Cambodia, the Borei Resort was a nice change of pace except for the high cost of food and drinks (boutique prices are much lower). That being said, the staff and service at Borei Angkor was excellent, the room was spacious and anytime we asked for or needed anything, the staff was on top of it in a very quick, timely manner. The form fitting bath tub was heaven and has probably made a future customer of me, if for no other reason than it was THAT amazing. Special thanks to Jasmine for all her help.

Hang S, General Manager at Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, responded to this reviewResponded 3 July 2013

Dear CynSpecht,

Thank you for the change of your decision. What a switch from boutiques to our Borei Angkor Resort & Spa!
Thank you so very much for giving us the opportunity to take care of you while you were in Cambodia. I am very pleased that our team managed to take good care of you, especially Jasmine.

The food and beverage products and services are delivered by a pool of well-trained and dedicated local talented personnel. We have been working to remain competitive, so that our price strategy remains attractive to our residents. We believe in the value for money philosophy and practice. However, we are very sorry to have heard that you found our food and drinks price high.

Nevertheless, I am glad you have enjoyed your stay with us, most importantly.
We are hopeful that you may consider to stay with again the next time you visit the Kingdom.
(now that you know we are better than the boutiques).

Very best,
Nara Thon

Nothing short of a glorious resort that is priced better than right. The place is impeccable. The pool was glorious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I hunch that this place is managed extremely well and that this is reflected in virtually everything you encounter. This may be the best value hotel my family and I have ever stayed at. Certainly the top choice for Siem Reap. To the staff we say "thank you for a wonderful stay !"

We flew to Cambodia not really knowing what to expect. It was our first time to the kingdom of wonder after all. What greeted us was more than anything we had expected. Our driver, Tong (not sure how to spell it!) was warm and immediately helped us feel at ease. We were very happy to have him with us as we toured beautiful Siem Reap the next 3 days. Then we met Dawind, the friendliest concierge ever! From the welcome drink and cool towel, to the tour of the hotel, he made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. He greeted us by name each time we met him and always checked to make sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves. He recommended the best places to first-time visitors like us that we found enriching and just so much fun. All the staff at the hotel always made the effort to make you feel comfortable and at home. One time, we were taking our ride back to the hotel after dinner and i said to the tuk-tuk rider, "We're going back home now." That was how we felt about Borei Angkor. It was like home away from home. On our last night, Dawind visited us at our room and presented us with traditional Cambodian scarves as a token of his appreciation. We were so touched! The tuk-tuk riders from the hotel were gracious and friendly too. We were hooked on these daily tuk-tuk rides that brought us to the old market and pub street for USD2 per trip. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a memorable stay in Cambodia!
