“Quiet and lovely”
Reviewed 11 September 2012

Really enjoyed it here. The rooms are spotless, mozzie nets set up over the bed, it was romantic and peaceful. Pool is nice, if small. the food was delicious in the little restaurant, breakfast was simple, some fruit, cereal, croissants, but they will prepare you eggs any way you want. and even bacon too. Marmite and home made jams for toast . I think smoothies would be good addition..It was very quiet, so no problem with a not very private balcony area. Close to the temples, transport easily arranged, unmade road is a bit bumpy in the tuk tuk, but its fine.. 6 or 7 min to town, same to Angkor Wat. Really helpful and lovely staff. Massage rooms are tranquil and nice, good value. Its simple and nice, just what i needed! (And the tv channels work, a nice plus) Absolutely great value!

Room Tip: First floor is good, just one flight of stairs.. each room has a balcony on the corridor, privately...

We stayed here in April 2011 and absolutely loved it....what a little gem. We had booked for 4 days but stayed for 6. The staff are so very lovely and helpful we felt like royalty. The food & breakfast was great....a lovely selection including fruit & eggs,we especially loved the homemade yoghurt which we had been missing on our Asian travels. We ate in the restaurant a few times & it was always of a high standard. One night the reception ordered in Pizza for us to eat in our room with delicious ice-cream. I think we got a deal for 4 days which included a 1 hour massage each and an evening meal and to be honest for the experience we feel the price was very very good. Roughly $40 US per night. The room was great, spacious with storage & mossie net and the little balcony outside the room perfect for an early evening drink. Lovely to have a pool although its a bit on the small side so we had to fight for the sunny part to sunbath. We had an amazing tuktuk driver called Chandar who took us all over and was so helpful we would really recommend using him I think he is normally outside the hotel. The location could be better but when you have a cheap tuktuk at your disposal who cares? Sometimes its nice to out of the hustle & bustle. Even though it was well over a year ago Im smiling at happy memories of Siem Reap and this hotel.

Indochine hotel is as its name suggests, run by French people. Its location is great, halfway between the town and the temples. It's very quiet at night as it's located in a small street, facing a Budhist Pagoda where you will see child monks studying and playing. The hotel rate includes a tuk-tuk and its english-speaking driver from 7am to 10pm, which is super convenient. The staff are absolutely adorable and super efficient. The hotel is quite atmospheric, with its wooden, small buildings and its Indochina (French colony era) and Cambodian tasteful decoration, most of which can be bought if you feel like it. There's a cute swimming pool, a great massage team, a decent restaurant, an excellent breakfast and everything can be arranged in terms of transportation to other parts of Cambodia or to travel abroad. I was quite impressed and would definitely stay there again.

My Mum, sister and I recently stayed at the Pavilion Indochine Siem Reap. It was a wonderful experience right from the get go. We were welcomed by the staff on arrival and given refreshing drinks. The Manager and staff couldn't do enough for us while we were there ensuring our stay was a pleasant one. We were provided with a free tuk tuk driver for the days we were there which is something that none of the other hotels had provided. Mr Do So (Manager) even booked our flights for us back to Phnom Penh. We really noticed the intimate service that Indochine provided compared to some of the other more expensive hotels that we had stayed at. The rooms are basic but clean and mosy nets are provided. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Siem Reap or planning a trip to Cambodia. I will revisit for sure :)

Room Tip: There were 3 of us staying at the Indochine. We had a family room which was a good choice.

My sister and I were traveling to Cambodia for the first time...I spent hours & hours using TA to select a small hotel. This was absolutely the right choice for us and it exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived until we departed for our return flight to Phuket.

The breakfast was a delight every morning with eggs & bacon cooked to order but the best part was the homemade yogurt and beautifully toasted wheat baguette.

Too exhausted from our Angkor Wat treks, we dined in two evenings (of 4) enjoying very good local dishes and exceptional service. Dinner was followed up by Khmer Massages on at least two evenings. Charge was about $8 for a 60 minute massage and far superior to the beach massage experience you'll get in Thailand for 300-400 THB. The spa is nothing fancy but it is clean and steps from your room and serviced with very competent staff.

I know we say that Thailand is the land of smiles but in Cambodia, we met the most sincere and friendly people. This little gem of a hotel is a keeper for the people and everything else. Although Pub Street area was fun to visit....I am so glad we did not stay here.

Sunrise @ Angkor Wat is a must.

Room Tip: Unfortunately we were in a room next to two noisy kids but reception staff made a comment to the par...

This resort and the staff were so kind and attentive. We were offered tropical drinks upon our last minute check in and they swept our room clean of mosquitos before allowing us in (arrived at the worst time for mosquitos...dusk). Our hotel room was simple but with hot water shower and mosquito nets as well as TV. The hotel helped us arrange bike rentals for the ride to Angkor the next morning which I highly recommend. I had a wonderful massage that was very cheap!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was huge, clean and nicely put together. It is an older group of building but seems well cared for and clean. It is the real Cambodia nicely done. High ceilings, a garden setting and friendly helpful staff. Located just outside the city on the way to Angkor. The hotel will set you up with a tuk-tuk to get into town or out to the temples. You pay the hotel for the driver and he will take you wherever you want to go and wait to bring you back. Basically your personal tuk-tuk for the day and I believe it was $25 total. Our driver was a very nice person and we end up inviting him to go with us into restaurants etc. Had a great time.

Room Tip: The Bungalow suite is huge. It could easily accommodate two couples.
