“Small and out of the way, but quaint”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

It is a long way outside of town, but if you want to see something up close and not flooded with hundreds of tourists, this is an option for those that want to see a temple dedicated to Shiva in a small village area.

“Very intricate carvings”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

This was a great Temple to start with. It is not as big as others but should not be missed as the pinkish colour of the rock and the very detailed carving set it apart. Go withe a guide to explain the place to you.

“Nice and peaceful temple - Banteay Srei”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

When I was at Siem Reap, of course the first place I visited is Angkor Park as other visitors.
There are so many temples in Siem Reap, so after Angkor I want to go some temples there, but I had not much time for all. Banteay Srei is place I liked most. It is far from the main Angkor temples,
but maybe that is the reason why not many travelers come there. It is so quite, peaceful and I like its architecture.
Highly recommend destination in Seam Reap.

“Fascinating trip”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

As others have mentioned, this temple is beautiful with exquisite carvings. Others have also mentioned that it is far from town, which is true, but to me the trip to the temple was one of the highlights of our trip to Siem Reap. I was fascinated to see how the locals lived, from surprisingly nice new homes to places that can only be described as ramshackle. The rice fields and buffalo were beautiful. So, visit this temple for the temple itself and for the ride out and back.
