Like everybody else who reviewed Shinta Mani I would agree in every way with what they had to say. The hotel itself is divine, the rooms were spacious and tasteful and a gorgeous touch is the black white mural of a buddha on the ceiling over the bed. But as always it's about the staff and they couldn't too enough for us, there was always a smile waiting for you. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and every meal was excellent. You can't always get a good coffee at breakfast in hotels but it was great. Loved the outside hanging table at the restaurant and have attached a picture of us having dinner. We thought for the standard of the hotel it was very reasonably priced.

In April 2013 the SHINTA MANI HOTEL took over the ROYAL BAY INN ANGKOR RESORT, a medium size hotel with 62 rooms and 1 suite, located just across the street from the SHINTA MANI, and re-named it the SHINTA MANI RESORT. A bit of an awkward choice, since " resort " is a generic word, that makes research difficult on review sites like the TripAdvisor. Spending 8 days last year at the ROYAL BAY INN, and being very satisfied with our stay, my wife and I booked a ground floor, pool view, superior room from Nov. 06 to 16, 2013. The former SHINTA MANI HOTEL is now the SHINTA MANI CLUB. I have to admit, that the take-over had us concerned, since so many hotels just siphon off profits, with minimum investment in their new property. We should not have worried ! Christian DeBoer, Shinta Mani's GM, Renee and others made a tremendous effort in upgrading the ROYAL BAY INN, incl. a complete make-over of all the rooms, a full renovation of the bathrooms, re-painting the whole property, re-decorating the Lobby, re-training the staff, improve the breakfast buffet & restaurant menu, etc. At times my wife and I wondered whether Christian and Renee had twin siblings. They seemed to be everywhere, greeting arriving guests, inspecting the property, chatting up guests at the restaurant, etc. The 2 Shinta Manis belong to a foundation, that makes a great effort to give something back to the community, by offering a Hospitality Training School, motivational training by Christian, a farm with its own manager, fair wages for the employees, its own Tuk-Tuk fleet, etc. What else to rave about ? Immaculate grounds, well-kept saltwater pool,
free WiFi, friendly staff ( hotel, maintenance, cleaning ), inter-acting very well with th guests, top-notch management, excellent location ( quiet side street, but only minutes from the action, like Pub Street, Old Market, etc. ), great breakfast buffet, transport to and from airport, free bottles of water, nice souvenir shop, cookie basket every night, etc. You can rent a car from the hotel. Friendly, knowledgable and accomodating driver BUNHO will take you to all the temples. One thing I was unable to figure out...... the Chicken Palace, in the shape of the SHINTA MANI CLUB, behind the hotel ? Even the chicken looked baffled !
When in Siem Reap, stay at the SHINTA MANI RESORT, It will be a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: ground floor, superior room, that has a patio and walk-out to the pool

We started our holiday in Cambodia with 4 nights at SM Resort. Our luggage was stuck in Hong Kong and the hotel team were very helpful, providing us with tuc-tuc driver tee shirts [bright orange!] and chasing up the luggage. We had a first floor room which was lovely and quiet, the food was outstanding and very reasonably priced, all the staff were great and it was a short walk to Pub Street and the Markets..
We loved this hotel, a perfect start to a memorable holiday.

What a fantastic hotel! This was the best we have stayed in anywhere and we have traveled far & wide. The service & food were beyond our expectations and the great work they are doing to assist the community and train these wonderful young Cambodians makes it essential to support this fine hotel. It is in a great position and the hotel is a true oasis.

Room Tip: Ground floor if you don't like stairs- there's no lift.

We spent a long weekend in Shinta Mani and had a lovely time. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable! I loved the design of the hotel - the upstairs bars and the restaurant swings were very cool. Food was good and the drinks price was very reasonable. The location was great - only a short walk to the Old Market and downtown area. You are also able to use the Shinta Mani Resort pool which is very relaxing and gets more sun than the Club pool. The drive to see the temples is also only around 15-20 minutes. All in all I would definitely go back - the staff were great and really made us feel at home.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Club which was a little quieter and less busy than the resort. Ground floor pool ro...

We spent 2 nights in Room 219 in Shinta Mani Club in February 2014 to support the great work they are doing in the community and making a difference to young lives.

The combination of warm welcome, service focus, good size clean and comfortable accommodation, high standard restaurant with swing-bed dining with an excellent Khmer tasting menu, good spa and especially smiling happy staff made it a very good stay.

Thank you to the team at Shinta Mani Club for the personal attention and good luck with the great work you are doing helping young lives.

Room Tip: #219 would be good choice.

The all-round excellence of this fine hotel was underllined by the extraordinarily high level of service provided at every level. With warm smiles all round, there was a clear determination to make our stay a happy and, indeed, memorable one. For my wife and me, the Shinta Mani provided a wonderful introduction to our brief stay in Cambodia.
