It really is hard to add to the endless chain of positive reviews and comments that have already been written. It's stylish and surprising in its design. It's beautifully located. The staff are gorgeous - we felt we wanted to take some of them home. Helpful too. And astounding to think that all or nearly all of them were trained by the hotel's own foundation under the expert and creative supervision of the wonderful General Manager, Christian Schroder, who is omni-present and helpful. It isn't really fair to highlight individual staff members, but Richard and Kol (part of the young management team) are supremely excellent. What else? Great breakfast (not least because of the cava on the buffet). Great restaurant (try the 7-course Khmer menu, sitting on a hammock). There is also a very attractive, small, modern art-and-craft "mall" just over the road. Anyone coming to Siem Reap, prepared to pay a few dollars more, and for whom the aesthetics of a hotel environment are important, MUST stay here.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Definitely stay at the Resort instead of the Club and enjoy the beautiful lawns and open pool area. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff are incredible and the location is perfect. Well worth a visit. We spent our morning exploring temples and afternoons by the pool when it got too hot - wonderful holiday.

Loved this hotel! The service was outstanding; all staff was very attentive. It was nice to come back at the end of the day and have cool face towels waiting for us as we got out of the van. The decor was impeccable, not overwhelming...just right. Loved the pots full of lotus blossoms lining the walkways. We also noticed that all the employees spoke very good English; they go to classes. We travel all over the world and this was just a great treat...its very, very clean. The location was close to the center of town; easy 10 minute walk to the night market and Pub Street.

To begin. I was confused with the difference between the club and resort. They are sister properties across the street from each other. In hind sight I'm not sure I'd pay extra for the club again.

I was unfortunately ill during my stay. The staff was so attentive, helpful, and concerned it was very nice. Every detail was considered.

Breakfast is quite good as is the restaurant generally.

Siem Reap is an emerging tourist location. Sadly must hotels look like cookie cutter versions of each other. The shinta mani stands as a unique hotel. Located in town. A short walk to the tourist areas but still quiet at night. The ability to walk every where was nice and allowed you to avoid tuk tuk's if you wanted.

A very lovely resort in a town with rough edges. It was a sanctuary at the end of long hot days at the temples.

Highly recommend

Stayed at the Shinta Mani Club for three nights and it was a very pleasant, enjoyable and restful stay. I must admit being suspicious of the rankings at Trip Advisor due to my last experience in South America - but my doubts were cleared after staying here. The Club is smartly designed reflecting local design sensibilities with a modern twist. It is not a hotel that is trying hard to be "cool". The room is good sized and well equipped, with everything functioning well. I was a bit concerned with the open air hallways and mosquitoes, but that was unfounded. The food at the restaurant is excellent, including the daily breakfast and the mango yogurt! The bar served good cocktails and was peaceful for quiet reading after a day of touring. The staff were very warm and friendly - especially the woman at the reception desk in the late afternoon/evening shift who greeted me by my name everyday and helped with restaurant bookings. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay in Siem Reap!

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, request for a room farther from the street. Though not a major street, o...

Shinta Mani was my perfect home away from home. The staff is truly caring, pays close attention to every need and whim, everyone is warm and graceful. Rooms are immaculate and grounds are lush. Yummy food at the restaurant. And very close to shops, bars and old market. I travel a lot and this is definitely a gem. Thank you and I will be back!
