“Great hotel”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The hotel is divided into two sections, the "resort" is the main section with the large pool, the "club" is across the road, somehow we got taken to the club by the taxi driver and got upgraded to club, I actually booked the resort on the premise that the pool is slightly bigger there since there isn't much difference in price. But anyhow our stay at the club was excellent, we only used the resort for lunch and dinner which was both good. Friendly and helpful staff, maybe even too friendly sometimes?! Breakfast and dinner at the club restaurant was excellent. Room size is good with a boutique hotel feel rather than corporate. Pool is small but good for swimming lengths. Breakfast was very good with good selection and a la carte. Dinner was nice, we tried the Khmer tasting menu, you can also sit outside on the swinging tables! We booked our day trips using the hotel cars which was all good, cold towels, water, nice air conditioned cars, we didn't want a guide so just did the temples ourselves at our own pace. One minor point, the hotel car to the airport is quite expensive for such a short trip compared to normal taxis so you may want to pre-arrange your own, they won't arrange any external taxi.

Always a smiling welcome on return from a day out, and of course the cool towels. Bottles water offered at each departure..nothing too much trouble. Lovely rooms, fabulous pool, bar and restaurant. We were given a late check-out...we were moved to a room across the road at the resort, equally comfortable and direct access to the pool, no extra cost. Delightful staff and great location; an easy walk to market and Pub street, or a cheap tuk-tuk ride. A great hotel.

My wife and I stayed at The Shinta Mani Club last week and could not have asked for a nicer 3 days. The staff were both super friendly and extremely efficient and it's hard to find that exact combination anywhere.

We had asked for a baby cot for our 11 month old daughter and it was already installed and neatly made up in our room before we checked in. Over the next 3 days any help sought in relation to the baby was provided, promptly, with a smile.

The room was a bit small but exquisitely made up with a lovely black and white decor. The music system mounted on the wall with a USB port containing a neat little song list was an added touch. The pictures in the room were lovely, specially the one of the smiling Buddha on the ceiling. The hotel itself is nicely decorated with flowers and sculptures appropriately placed around the corridors and it felt great coming back to it after a hot and humid day.

The breakfast buffet was nice and the variety of of food on offer just right. You could add to the buffer by ordering off the menu. I particularly liked the eggs Benedict. The cocktails in both thee pool bar and the Bensley Bar upstairs were nicely mixed and though the prices were reasonable, the drinks were not watered down in the least.

An added advantage is that guests at the Shinta Mani Club are free to use the resort across the road. The pool there is larger and the lawns were ideal for our baby to play around in. The restaurant at the resort offered additional food choices.

The attention to detail in both resorts was terrific. The staff come around with cold water and slices of fruit when you are lounging by the poolside. Drinks come with little snacks. Cold towels and water bottles are provided for the guests as you return to the resort (or even when you are leaving) The courtesy with which they treat the guests is exemplary.

Sometimes the staff would stop by and play with our baby while we ate giving us a little breathing space. That was really nice.

The property is very well located. Pub Street, the old market and the main night market are a 10 minute walk/ 2-3 minute tuk tuk ride away. The staff will organize a tuk tuk for you at a moment's notice.

The nicest touch from the hotel came on the last evening. We had a 10 pm flight and needed to check out late. A guest had booked the room that we were staying in. The staff moved our luggage to a lovely poolside room at the Shinta Mani Resort and we stayed there till 8 pm. When walked in, we found a baby cot already in place, which was frankly terrific.

A big thanks to Renee and the rest of the staff from Madhavi, Natasha and myself. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the superior rooms and the superior poolsi...

Stayed 4 days in Shinta Mani. It was totally satisfactory, can't ask for more. The best hotel in terms of service. Ever smiling staffs greeting us always, and are most obliged to provide information whenever being asked. They made sure our requests are communicated to other of their team members; we didn't need to repeat our requests even when it was a different staff serving us at the concierge. Excellent hotel ambience, good breakfast menu, plentiful of cold towels and mineral water. Although it is a little further away from city centre, we will definitely stay here again.

The resort and their staffs were so impressive to me. Come here, you will feel like home and they know everything you need. During my staying, my laptop had problem with keyboard. I could not do anything with it and I planed to go somewhere to fix. So surprising! i found the Computer shop at the hotel. The hotel staff told me that i didn't need to go anywhere.Their IT would come and check it for me. And then everything was solved after 5minitues.

I travelled almost every month and stayed at quite a few hotels. This is by far the best service I received, attendive, responsive, and always with a smile. Whenever you are back to hotel, staff would greeted 'welcome home'and give us cold wet towels.
The food at the hotel (resort side) is good. We tried a few restaurant outside hotel including pub streets, hotel food is the best.
The other thing we liked is the swimming pools, they have 2 swimming pools, 1 at resort side 1 at club (they are 2 hotels but club guest can use resort pool). I particularly liked resort pool.
Location wise as siem reap is a small city, anywhere you go will not take long. This hotel is located at town centre so to old or pub street are within walking distance but we always took tuk tuk as cheap only cost us2 for a couple. Tuktuk here is quite reliable as standard price so they wont bargain for higher price or pretend no change as I experienced in bangkok.
Overall this is a well managed hotel, highly recommend.
