We have just left the hotel and i write with a mixed review our arrival was rushed as there had been a mix up with our pick up at the airport and we had to catch a tai Throughout our stay the best way to describe the reception staff was snooty. However the other staff were delightful and pleasant. The prices are also very mixed, a load of washing is at western dry cleaners rates. The cost worked out to be a months wages for a local. A single shirt was $3.50 usd to wash. We tried their signature massage twice and both massages were very different one positive and one not. The accommodation was good, clean and comfortable would I stay there again mixed, don't know. The hotel is a ways out from pub street but it is ok a short tuk tuk ride

Its such a wonderful stay, great smiling staff and fantastic service, especially at the Lily Restaurant. Everyone is positive and prompt and fast, paying attention to small details. Khmer food was excellent and a bonus to our stay. Thank you for everything!

We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is good value for money. We had a very nice room, although we were moved due to noise from rooms above, so ask for the top floor. Breakfast good but not great. Staff were lovely, very friendly & polite. Hotel food & spa treatments were expensive for Cambodia & we found we could eat in town for a quarter of the price & have a massage for much less. Shame they do not look at this as they have a captive audience as the hotel is located a few k's from the city. The grounds need TLC, overgrown with weeds in paths etc. We found many resort hotels in Asia to be kept extremely well with the cost of staff there. The hotel also forgot to pick us up from the airport which we were annoyed about seeing we had reminded them by email early that morning.

Room Tip: Can hear noise from rooms above so request a top floor room.

My main purpose of visiting Cambodia is to see the Angkor Wat temples, as I had admired these structures for quite some time. Little did I know that I would fall in love with this gem of a resort as well.

My boyfriend and I arrived on a Saturday night, and having travelled for at least 15 hours, 'tired' and 'hungry' were an understatement.
The check-in process was seamless. The resort staff made us sit down, feel comfortable, gave us a little souvenir scarf, and also serving us a refreshing welcome beverage. During check-in, they also organised our temple tours and offered other tourist activities.

After we were shown to our Deluxe room, which was really spacious and clean, we settled in for a bit proceeded to roam around the resort grounds. Being that it was dark, there was still enough light to appreciate the natural beauty of the resort - the gardens, trees, flowers, and of course, the pool.

We then decided to order food from the hotel as we were too tired to go out into the city for some grub. We ordered herb potato wedges, mixed veggies, and accompanied these with some cocktails. We ate and drank while being serenaded by Daisy and Mickey, the resort entertainers. They were great, so friendly and cheerful.

We truly appreciated the beauty of the whole place the next morning. My was it gorgeous! Seeing everything the resort had to offer in clear light seemed so unreal. I was taken aback by how stunning the place was.

Not only was the place gorgeous, their staff were very polite, respectful and helpful. They treated us really well, which made us feel so special. Not once did they fail to clean our room and make our bed.

The breakfast buffet was actually quite good. It had a mixture of different cuisines - Khmer (Cambodian food), Western, Japanese and Chinese. The food here varied everyday, which made it interesting each time.

Taking a dip in the pool felt like heaven after being in the sun for a couple of hours. This was made even better after ordering some drinks from the pool bar. It was pretty darn awesome/convenient.

The resort was only about a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride in so the city centre (especially the popular 'Pub Street') and a 30-minute drive to the temples, which makes this place even better than it already is.

There's nothing I can really fault this place on. The only down side is that there are lots if mosquitoes at night, but it's definitely something that's out of their control. I would advise bringing some mosquito/bug repellent.

Just a warning - you may fall in love with this place too. You've been warned. Enjoy.

What makes a great trip anywhere in the world is the hotel and the driver that takes you around. My husband and I are frequent travellers and we always pay a bit more for the luxury such as Shangri-la, The Peninsular, Le Meridien etc and sometimes boutique hotels and I must say I love this hotel with its classic & beautiful Comdodian architecture, spacious clean room over looking a bit of the pool. (i swam once but find the pool a little warm) The room comes with a seperate shower and a bath which is always my preference than just to have the shower room or a bath tub without the shower room. Not a top notch super luxurious hotel but for the price you pay, it really is very good.

Breakfast was good & satisfactory with enough choices from the fried egg station to the hot noodle soup station to the variety of cooked food station (inclduing hash brown which I love), salad and cereals and best of all, it comes with freshly brewed coffee or Twinings Earl Grey tea if you prefer which I look forward to every morning.

The staff are polite and helpful.

Now comes our driver which we have booked for the whole trip of 6 days Mr. Panha whom speaks excellent English, polite and patient, always early and nothing is too much for him; always eager to please too. His car is a spacious clean Camry with very cold air cond which is brilliant after the hot & sweaty tour of the temples. Best of all, he is very professional and will not push you to shops to buy this or that. We highly recommend him whom can be contacted via his no. +855 12 402 801 or via whatsapp. He told us there are only 2 shops that sell genuine jewellery in town if you are interested in Combodian sapphire and ruby like me (very beautiful & affordable) . So, be very careful where you are taken to.

1 wrtiter gave us a very good tip, which is - there is an over supply of drivers in town and the unemployment rate is high so don't bargain with them. The extra US5 will not make us poor but it will go a long way to help him and his family. After all, the whole day driving you around town and waiting for you costs only US$30, which really is extremely reasonable. If you go to Beng Mealea which is more than an hour out of town, it's US$50 and I'd advise you to go as the ruins is very interesting and the drive out to the country is peaceful. Also, a\ways leave a little tip for the waitress/waitor that served you as they make very little a month. US$1 or 2 brings a big smile and you can see they are grateful.

On the whole, we really enjoyed this trip with good hotel and good driver (not booked through the hotel) . You cant go wrong with this 2 combination! Hope u have a good trip too. (btw, there's also the free shuttle service to town from the hotel which we never have to use as we had our driver for the whole day).

Oh yes, & there's a small balcany outside the room which you can chill out in the evening and feel the cool breeze esp. after a rain.

Room Tip: face the pool

Spacious rooms - We had a king size & double bed in the room (not a roll away) for 2 adults & 2 children & still had plenty of space. Beds were comfortably soft. Bathroom had a shower & tub which is a plus for kids. We were on the ground floor overlooking the lily pad filled creek which was beautiful. Terrific, huge pool - Lots of different depths to suit everyone. Slides into the kids pool were a hit with ours. Could have had more deck chairs, but as it was low season - no worries. Prices at the hotel are understandably more than in town or buying drinks from a store. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Quiet location - We thought we would be too far from town, but it was great to have the resort amenities, while still close enough to quickly get dinner. $7 for a tuk tuk round trip & he waited for us, stopped at mini marts, ATMs, etc. $3 one way, but then you would have to flag someone to bring you back - easy enough, but having someone at hand was a plus. The staff was friendly, but often their English was limited. Arrange your own taxi or go to the "tour" desk - much cheaper than the front desk. $15 for a tuk tuk or $30 for a taxi for the day for the near temples seemed standard no matter where you stay - both easily fit 4 people.
