I was traveling with a friend, and it was our second visit to Siem Reap. We were met at the airport by a representative of the hotel and taken straight to the hotel, where we ordered lunch and then went to enjoy our lovely room. We were in the Buddha room, with 2 double beds, a lovely sitting area, beautiful bathroom, outdoor seating in front of the room and steps from the welcoming swimming pool. They have tuk-tuks available every evening to take you into town for dinner. All tours of the temples, guides, other tours of the area and general info is readily available from their friendly and English speaking staff. It is about 10 minutes from town or the temples, and transportation is easy and cheap. A nice respite from the hustle of downtown.
And the wonderful work they are doing for the community in their JWOC facility next door is very impressive.
You will enjoy your stay with them!

Everything was outstanding from the drivers, accommodations, food, daily trips/adventures, guides and overall trip coordination. Journeys Within was very professional, organized, timely, and provided us a great taste of Cambodia, Laos, and Bangkok.

Angkor Wat is a must see, and Journeys Within is the place to stay. Leaving the airport, you drive down a wide street lined with large hotels. You turn off on a side street to Journeys Within and you feel like you have found an oasis. The staff is charming, the accommodations pleasing. Although we were a couple alone, it was a perfect location for families. They could not have made it better--advice, breakfast, laundry, tuk-tuk to town, wireless internet all included.

Everything at Journeys Within was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and fresh, the building and grounds were clean and beautifully maintained and the pool was a refreshing treat. Transportation was easily made available when you wanted to go into town.

My partner and I and another couple stayed at the Journeys Within B&B and Bungalows for 7 nights in late December, early January, 2011. Crazily those 7 days/nights went by so fast. We had organized our tour of Cambodia through the associated Journeys Within Tour Company. We also had the pleasure of participating in an affiliated Journeys Within Our Community english class and getting a tour of the school next door as well as going on an outing to learn about their Clean Water and Well projects.

The bungalows where guests stay surround the pool. So very nice and relaxing and spoiled to go out the door of your room and have only a few steps to the pool. Not to mention the gardens and pool area make for a great atmosphere. The area has been designed and is upkept beautifully. We even had lunch served to us by the pool. This is a small, intimate hotel which makes it really wonderful.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated with silk drapes and chair coverings, a luxurious spa-like bathroom. Internet is available in the room. There is a fridge with soft drinks and water supplied. In putting the place together, a lot of attention has been paid to detail and to comfort.

Breakfast is served on a terrace area at the back of the main house. It always feels special to be able to enjoy so much of regular living outdoors, not something we are very used to. The food was very good; breakfast, lunches and dinners that we had at the hotel. I don't know if it is regularly the case but they were extremely accommodating in preparing food on request, particularly dinner. We really appreciated a couple of times not going out and just having a meal and some drinks at the hotel. Oh and we had a birthday while we were staying and they were super nice to surprise our friend with a cake.

As well as visiting numerous temples we really had a great evening doing a cooking class at Le Tigre de Papier restaurant which was organized for us by the hotel. I definitely recommend this, you choose items from the menu to make, you do a tour of the food area of the market to learn some more about the local ingredients, then they guide everyone through the preparations and cooking of their food in a kitchen area at the top of the resaurant, and at the end you ge to eat and have some drinks. (well you can have a few drinks while you are cooking too). It was a lot of fun and it is very well put on by the restaurant. We also enjoyed stops at the Silk Farm and the Artisans d'Angkor workshop. And we had a day trip to a Floating Village; really amazing to see these houses way up on stilts a picture for taking at every turn; kind of difficult to see some of the living and sanitation conditions outside of the tourist areas. My travel experiences are a bit limited and I have really had some trouble rationalizing this wonderful trip I've had, nice hotels, great food, seeing all the sights, great service from people along the way. I'm still not sure how to think about it all...still pondering.

This review would be 100% unfinished if I were to leave out what really makes this a great place to stay, and that's the people. From the top, owners Andrea and Brandon Ross, all the way through their organizations they have truly great, nice, friendly, intelligent, professional, knowledgeable, polite (almost too polite!), helpful, hard working, patient, smiling people working for them and with them. And that really makes a great experience for a visitor. Thank you to all of them, it is very admirable and it is quite unique and it really made an impact on us and on our holiday.

I highly recommend this hotel and I highly recommend their associated tour company for planning your trip and activities.

Staying at Journeys Within Bed and Breakfast was quite a heartwarming experience.

The B&B location is quiet and only a few minutes by tuk tuk to downtown. The staff is friendly and accommodating; everyone greets you with a smile. The grounds are lovely. The swimming pool is nice after a day's tour of Siem Reap and the temples. Our room was clean, specious, and comfortable. We had many of our meals, which were freshly cooked, at their outdoor restaurant. Our guides and drivers, including tours in Phnom Penh, were polite and informative.

In the front part of the grounds, one could see Tuna, the sweet B&B dog, nursing her newborn puppies, and young children of owners Brandon and Andrea's play. It was this relaxing and warm atmosphere that made Journeys Within B&B different from others.

Part of our itinerary included teaching a one-hour English class at Journeys Within Our Community (JWOC) that is located next door. It always frightens me to speak in public, no matter how small the groups are. Although shy, the students' eagerness to learn made it much easier for me. Journeys Within also gives back to the communities in other ways and we are glad we were part of it by joining their tour. I have to make one thing clear though: the whole time we stayed there, not once did anyone mention their good deed, nor ask for any donation.

April from Journeys Within Travel Company put our tour package together. She was quick to answer our questions via phone calls and emails. At the B&B, we also had a little talk with Brandon and Andrea and found the story of how they started Journeys Within very interesting. The whole tour went smoothly and exceeded our expectation. I highly recommend Journeys Within.

It was a very nice place to come back to after a day touring the temples. Small but with all the feature of large hotels without the crowds - the pool was especially nice after walking all day. The staff made every effort to make everything go smoothing from arranging tours, activates, meals and transport into the town. Highly recommended.
