Each one of us has expectations of a B&B. Ours were surpassed by a large margin. Not only are the grounds very attractive, but the room (and all its extras) was cheerful, bright, convenient, and always so clean. When the air-conditioning unit failed on a weekend, a service call was put in and another room offered in case repairs were unsatisfactory. When a misunderstanding occurred re. scheduling of activities (the tour side of the business), Brendan was amenable to resolving the issue to everyone's satisfaction. In other words, for anyone considering a stay in Siem Reap, don't even consider anyplace else but here. Even the few kms out of town are not a problem: they provide free transportation to town for dinner.

Having planned a trip to Vietnam with the Sierra Club, I decided to add Cambodia to the tour. After looking at reviews from Trip Advisory and other sites, contacted Journey's Within who also have an office in Truckee, CA. They responded immediately and we were able to develop a 11 day tour of Siem Reap, Battambang and Phenom Penh that included a wide variety of activities -not just Wats. We were picked up at the airport and arrived to a most beautiful oasis - three two story bungaloes surrounding an infinity pool. Thjis is not just a regular B&B but they also support a school and teaching the local people about financing and being able to start a business. They also have internet service and free wi-fi. We did everything from touring temples; watching rice noodles being made from scratch; rice paper being made; a crocodile farm; canoe trip up the Tong Le Sap river with homes built on stilts because of the heavy rains and then kayaking in the lake with lunch in the village. elephant rides to see the sunset at Anchor Thom; visit to a silk farm; tour of the land mine museum; dinner at our guides home in Battambang where his wife cooked us a most delicious dinner; helped out at the Journey's Within school in their English language class and more. The food - both breakfast and dinners - in Siem Reap at the Journey's Within site was so good we mostly had dinners there. Andrea and Brenden were always available to assist; the staff was very friendly and available but not hovering. They make personally tailored trips which was very important because we didn't want to just see wats but more of the Cambodian way of life and they accomplished this. One of the best places I have ever stayed at and am definitely interested in seeing about their other locations and trips - Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Mynamar.

We stayed at the Journeys Within Family Bungalow for several days while in Siem Reap. There is a lovely upstairs master bedroom and bath (accessed by a sprial staircase) and pull out beds for children downstairs. The setting is beautiful and very relaxed. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful and friendly. Our extended family stayed in a bunglaow across the way. The setting is intimate and charming and town could be easily accessed by tuk tuk. We would definitely go back.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! The bungalows were as comfortable as home; clean and bright with tile floors and contemporary bathroom. The rooms are spacious. The neat and careful arrangement of the bungalows around the beautiful pool is visually very appealing and creates a cozy feeling. The food offering is a big plus. We enjoyed, particularly, the sandwich snack items and the tasty breakfasts on the patio. The staff arranged our tours of the temples and surrounding area. The guide was friendly, informative and knowledgeable of local customs, cusine, and parculiarities. A plus for us was his very fine Enlish speaking skills and willingness to patiently teach us local expressions in the local language. We had a safe driver who couldn't do enough for us -always ready with water and cool cloths -and a helping hand. Journeys Within also made all our arrangements -hotel, and guide service- in Phnom Penh. The hotel there was also very comfortable and the guide and driver also wonderful. We stayed 5 nights at the Journeys Within B&B in Siem Reap.

We echo all the previous reviews.

No one mentioned the school next door that Andrea, Brandon and Journeys Within began. We participated in an English class and it was a delightful experience, along with an art class for younger village children that we helped with.

Ours was a journey of discovery that began in Vietnam and ended in Cambodia. Andrea was instrumental in creating an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. The guide she arranged for us in Cambodia, Lounh (Leap Lam), was a perfect match for us and provided a knowledgeable and unique approach to visiting the temples.

We highly recommend this facility to anyone visiting Siem Reap... All of our best wishes for everyone there at the Journeys Within B&B in Cambodia. We will forever remember the kindness and the beautiful smiles of each and every one of you :)

There are lots of large, impersonal hotels in Siem Reap. This B&B provides an oasis away from the bustle of the town. The rooms are large, the service, including free laundry, is first-rate and the swimming pool with salt water provides a way to cool off after a hot day touring the ruins. Journeys will organize tours, provide restaurant recommendations and help you with your trip. Ask for Sina as a guide--he's terrific. I wish Journeys organized trips beyond Southeast Asia. The B&B and their service exceeded our expectations.

This turned out to be one of our favorite holidays thanks to Andrea and Brandon and their wonderful staff. I second all the previous reviews.
I also want to mention that we were traveling with a five year old and a one year old and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us and the children. Andrea planned our trip so that the children had plenty of time to swim and nap between temple visits. We also had our own car and driver so it was possible to be flexible, a must when traveling with little ones.
Both of our guides were excellent. We especially enjoyed visiting the villages and meeting the locals.
We highly recommend Journey's Within and hope to spend more time with them in the future.
